killing people is wrong
by sanjeev tomar on Nov 08, 2006 02:28 AM  Permalink

Why do we kill people who kill people to show that killing people is wrong?

No body on this earth has right to kill anybody.

Few Lessons for Girls (marriageable) families
by PRASHANT on Nov 04, 2006 10:57 AM  Permalink

Salute to friends of Mattoo, Delhities and media.
1.      People should understand that STANDARD in society does mean only money and powerful profession. People should re-think before marrying their daughter. Wife and most cruelly the kids are innocent victims, now they have suffer and carry social stigma, it is entirely the fault of wife and wifes family, who had chosen a person who was rapist and murderer though he was not convicted legally and released on flimsy legal ground.
2.      Now it is the time for Delhi people to agitate for and expose to such corrupt Police Officer and related people, who uses their power (exploitation of public power and money) to rape the natural justice and protect the criminals.
Now it is the time for Satyendra Dubey (IITian, an honest Engineer of NHRC from poor family, gunned down in Bihar, to protect the public money) and Manjunath (IIM alumni, an honest officer of IOC, again from poor family gunned down in U.P. to raise objection against the adulteration in Petrol / Diesel and refusing to accept bribe from mafia). I hope metro citizens would definitely show sensitivity towards such people also. Delhities and Media kindly raise voice for them also.

Morale: Matoo family got justice.. But what justice is made for the child??????
by Chandan on Nov 04, 2006 05:05 AM  Permalink

I am glad that Priyadarshini Motto got her justice., I am glad and proud of her father Mr. Chaman Lal Matoo to peruse this case and fight till the justice is made. It is very happy to know that millions of people participated in the movement in this case.
I, am not against the justice, as being myself involved in this cherishing moments of the justice made to the innocent girl. I pray God to rest her soul in peace.,
I am in a dilemma to discuss on behalf of the accused. Just as a discussion and curiosity, I am surprised to know what were the circumstantial evidences that made the accused to behave like this and perform the act? In spite the accused was from the highly educated family and he being the lawyer and being aware of the consequences. I am surprised to know that, no points were discussed in this forum about this and what consequences will be played to the child and his wife? I am sure I still dont know how this girl got married to this accused and how did her family agree to this marriage? Yes we can blame the girl marrying the accused, again what circumstances? (One more victim) Morale: Matoo family got justice. But what jusustice to the child...?

Mattoo murder case
by rakesh on Oct 31, 2006 01:58 PM  Permalink

I would like to raise a few points:

1) Can he be hanged in public, say, at the Red Fort on the nearest public day (Aug 15th or Jan 26th?), so that others may not think of such dastardly acts.

2) How did his wife marry him knowing that he was a murderer? did he cheat her also or threaten her?

3) I do feel extremely sorry for the wife and daughter, BUT, now that he has a daughter - please ask him - "If some other Santosh Singh rapes and murders his daughter - what would Santosh Singh's reaction would be?

Matto case
by sundaram on Oct 31, 2006 10:48 AM  Permalink

Finally justice is done. But, howabout the earlier judgement of acquital and such a case should never have been decided like that, and because of such cases criminals will be freely roaming in society and people lose faith and feel insecure.

Santosh Singh gets death
by Tarun on Oct 31, 2006 10:38 AM  Permalink

I think it's a right decision on the part of Delhi High Court to give him death sentence. In my opinion, everyone who has done, doing and will do should face the same as Santosh Singh faced.

Matoo case verdict
by rania on Oct 31, 2006 10:19 AM  Permalink

It is interesting to note that the Court was so very quick in passing its Judgement- the query is this - Was it all orchestrated???

No doubt there should be a penalty for rape and murder- or else this syndrome would continue unabated. However, the death penalty seems to be an extreme step.

No where in the court proceedings or in the media does it warrant mention that the victim and the accused were in a relationship at one point in time and thereafter there was a souring of relaionships between them. Police complaints were filed by not just the victim- but by the accused as well of harassment.

Just a passing thought .........
