One of my friend's son also joined the party last month. The boy is 21 and gives private tuitions in Accountancy and Mathematics. He is the most well behaved boy in the entire neighbourhood. He respects his elders, commands the respect of his peers and is a role model for the little kids in the whole of middle-class locality that houses many common men like us. He has been an active ABVP worker till last year.He campaigned tirelessly in the last year's university elections for the ABVP candidate. He spent from his own pocket a sizeable amount of money on printing the posters for the candidate- the money that he had accumulated over the last 2 years from his tuition so that he could buy the bike that he yearned for! The boy's father was my elder brother's classmate and is a committed citizen of this country. He teaches in a local government college and takes pride in achievements of his students. The boy will work tirelessly for the party but I wonder if a certain Poonam Mahajan will not easily score over him when the time comes for nomination for the party tickets.Alas, even in a democracy as vibrant as ours, the children of Mahajans and Gandhis will always score over ours!
It is a welcome decision. Mahajan has done so much for the party and his memory should motivate his son and daughter to work the party he served. My best wishes to her.
