Did anybody asked? In what way those sting operators talked...... I am mean what sort of language they used. If they talked with erotic words with those booked....... They dont have right to book them. Infact indians are more cultured than those subcultured americans
So, the western nationalism of competitive perversion has come into being. When one person emulates others' culture, such a thing is bound to happen. It simply shows the effect of westernised minds of those Indians in the US, which converts them to making perversion. They should be immediately brought to justice.
I think its very good of the consulate to advice the Indians on different aspects of law who are caught in the situations like above. But at the same time i would like to bring the attention of people that enticing minors to a specific place with the intension of having sex is not JUST A SMALL THING as has been put by some relatives of the accused. Maybe thats the major issue, if a family thinks this is a petty issue and the accused need not be facing consequences then when do they think a person should be held responsible for his/ her actions. Is this the value in life the family wants instilled in its sons/ daughters? I am surprised and shocked.
I saw this 20/20 show in which many Indians were caught. One Indian was a Manager in a software firm, another brought his married friend with him to meet this "minor girl". They caught 130 people including doctors, engineers, firemen and a Rabbi. Many are going to ruin their professional & married lives. It is really a shame that people have no control over their senses & the internet has compounded the problem.
Well, i would always side with my brethren and say indians still have culture in them, they still have values imbibed in them. this incident shows us what happens when we westernise our minds. I am glad this incident will be an eye opener to some. Sure there are corrupt individuals, but the fact that these were educated, and indians is shameful.

This is not a "Western" problem. Look to your own country. Look to Africa. Look to Asia. Look to Europe. Child predators are EVERYWHERE. It is a global problem. It has nothing to do with national borders, it has everything to do with moral borders. Trying to blame this on "West" is a dangerous act of burying your head in the sand to wish a problem away.
Until governments, globally, take the threat of child predators seriously, and stop giving slaps on the wrist as punishment, this problem will continue to plague our future generations.
Urge your local politicians to strengthen the laws against child predators. Tell them that beautiful female teachers who molest students deserve hard jail time, no matter their excuses. Tell them that internet predators deserve hard jail time. Tell them that family members who abuse children deserve hard jail time. For the future of our children, something must be done.

Its not that these people are inacting in the influence of westernisation. My friend you are little mistaken. Westerns are more cultured. The number of incidents of rapes and cases involving abuse of minors in India is alarming. These sorts of incidents in western countries are not as prevelant. We need to shed the false impression of greatness of our culture. If you closly see the society and family set ups in West they are much defined and dignified. We need to set our house right at first. The story of Ram raj is just in epics in reality, the things are lot spoiled. The only goodness we seem pocessing is in our past culture or our epics.
we dont know what was the chat content was exactly... these volunteers could be the instigators, they could have logged onto chat with the aim of trapping indians(indian names and ids can easily be distinguished),they could have never told the indian guys that they were underaged....how can we come to a conclusion that the indians would have had sex with these minor girls??? if the authorities have valid answers/proof for these questions they can go to court and prove it instead of directly deporting them by forcefully making them sign on documents..

From reading the site, Perverted Justice contributors have strict standards that must be followed. Foremost of those policies is that they never make first contact. The also never initiate talk of sex or first bring up the topic of meeting for sex.
The chat logs for those arrested will most likely not be available to the public until after the person is convicted as it is considered evidence. However, based on the chat logs from the 92 previous convictions that Perverted Justice has, the fact that these guys were arrested is almost a guarantee that they will be convicted.
Think logically, the police were there and willing to arrest these guys. The District Attorney's were most likely on board as well. Does anyone think for an instant that someone would have been arrested if they hadn't met all of the legal criteria to be arrested?
Merely having a sexual chat with someone you THINK is underage is illegal, nevermind actually showing up to follow through.
These who are caught are disgrace to India. May be these very same offenders could have gone scot free in India!
These elements are bred by Indian legal system which hardly convicts any body. The flawed system helps all: Politicians, officials, Business class except common man. My India is "great"!!!

These Indian psychopaths must be hanged first - no.. their limbs must be cut off they must live with that - yes thats very nice. Being so privileged as they are they bring such a lot of disgrace. All they can do is learn to do the wrong things. However one will also find such potential cases in Indian High Tech industry - if u observe u fill find many of them members of curious online communities etc. Its just a matter of time the bubble will burst within India as well. B.....ds.
"The younger people commit such mistakes and they pay with their future and life for such a small thing. It is really sad," she said.
This is a quote from the sister of one of the offenders. Well what if it really had been a child that he was to meet and he had sexually abused that child? HOW SAD WOULD THAT BE? Wake up woman! Unless they are perverts, anybody with any modicum of intelligence knows that children are out of bounds for sexual activity. The police department and Perverted Justice are saving these people from a far worse fate...what to speak of protecting children. Keep up the good work! Perhaps you should read Bitter Chocolate by Pinki Virani. Upwards of 60% of girls under 16 years from middle and upper class families have been abused sexually. These statistics are for INDIA - not America. So maybe these "young people" are not so innocent after all......
