WALLS OF INJUSTICE There is nothing like JUSTICE OR INJUSTICE. No one delivers justice OR INJUSTICE. If it were not so we (INDIA)would not have had the kind of worst and unfit politocracy that we had since independence. I was told by some body in a general talk on contemporary issues that why so much of hue and cry about Politics/politicians/Government/Governance/Bureaucracts/Judiciary/Price rise etc. It is either true that all strands/fabrics of society is pathetic and wretched OR only a small minorty portion of society is wretched/corrupt/criminal and so on. In sum and substance it means that the number that are suffering (victims) at the above ills is so small that we need not bother and even think about contemporary situation/politocracy OR contrary to this there would have been a revolution of sorts if our governance was so bad that it affected large numbers. True people have learnt to be immoral and unethical and illegal. Perhaps people can get easy riches only if Governament/Governance is at it its worse. GS
dilip dsouza MIGHT be right here. yes wherever hindus are at fault dilip will keep whining and know that we'll correct ourselves - because we're the only people to respect the laws of the land. but wherever our beloved minorities are at fault, you'll not hear a peep out of him. care to write something about the atrocities on the hindus in colonial goa, dilip?
Benefit of doubt is the greatest comedy of Indian Criminal Justice System. There are umpteen draconian laws to placate the innocent common man if he raises his voice against the corruption in High places or asserts his basic rights. We know how much faithful our police officers are to the rulers than to the rule. It's a shame that a Criminal ( also a lawer ) was allowed to tread on this land for 10 long years after raping and killing a fellow student. Even now justice has not been done. He should be hanged.
What-justice! Where is it? In India- Nowhere. Indian judiciary is a Joke for the commonperson.May be, some influencial people do make use of it.Common citizen of India, who has no godfather in the system gets nightmares if, by mistake he ventures in to the court,to seek justice.Irrespective of the court level the so called justices find themselves comfortable with only prolonging the cases, so that the case in which they are not interested gets nullified with passage of time, and at the same time behaving differently in the cases where they have an interest. The Institutions of Justice delivery have lost sanctity and respect. An ordinary person, for whom the court used to be a ray of hope against the corrupt system, is horrified by the court and its working. After a long wait he can not but curse himself for having moved to court where he realises that seeking justice was just an illusion- he should not have sought. The justice system in India is a mirage where an ordinary person gets only decieved by the black dressed people who push him into deep black holes. In the interest of justice the present justice delivering instituions need an immediate closure or a complete overhaul

Perfect. Courts, Hospitals, Police Stations are those no person in INdia should need to even look at. As rightly termed they are balck hpoles and turn not just the person but his or her entire family into hapeless mad caps. The very atmosphere in these places is horrible. GS
I am a great devotee of Vinayak. But that doesnt prevent me from saying this-God is in your heart.Let us get out of this seige mentality and not let it come in our way of progress. It has become a fashion to defend these things as devine.Let us not allow any temple, mosque, church or gurudwara to hinder our progress. If the topography allows the wall to be built so be it otherwise a terrorist will attack even if you build a 50 ft wall around the edifice. And let me remind you I am not a communist or an atheist.
yes by calling a simple error of judgement by administrative people who perhaps built wall without properly judging its effects, and unnecessarily associating it with gujarat akshardham, d'souza does give an impression of a hindu basher who is perhaps engaged in building up his career by building up his so called secular creditials. One can not blame him many just to cite some examples, shabana azmi, javed akhtar, dileep kumar, mulayam singh, amirkhan, congressis, communists of all kinds have tasted success along this path of all government awards, honours, media hype every thing. So why not let us have one more D'souza. Just as other day the mother of one of the security guys who was killed during attacks on parliament was saying if we want to give clemency to terrorists and killers, why not give kashmir to pakistan and why kashmir let us give whole of India to pakistan. The comment does reflect frustration of average Indians, on such articles and hypes.
On the overall subject of this issue - The Justice system in India is practically non-existant. What is there in now-a-days is mere walls and chaps in black dress. No one who wants the justice approach courts. Common man had lost their faith in Police and Courts long back. I would rather say, we can close all the Courts in India and fire all the Judges and Lawyers. They are highly inefficient in doing their job.
But on the Author - D'Souza sir, why you are able to view only the cases where Person from the majority group is involved. There had been lot of hue & cry in just punishing a Criminal involved in blasting our consititution. What about that? Compared to that a wall for the temple is so small that we can as well ignore it. Why to make such a big issue out of this?
