Take a note politician
by sg on Oct 11, 2006 08:14 PM  Permalink

I think Shinde should also look at the judgement. As this clemancy he gave out was to a fellow party activist / leader. Politicians should be more careful when they have to make a judgement on these issues. Its best to take the account of the security of the nation and strong detterent.

thank god
by Harikrishna on Oct 11, 2006 06:39 PM  Permalink

Thank God! The judiciary has really ensured the justice. People of Andhra Pradesh kow very well that the state Chief Minister went all out to twist the facts in crude manner to bail out his old time friend fromt he prison. It is sad that the law doesn't have a provision to punish the politicans for making such immoral adventures.

Hit on bullseye. Clemency for political reasons severely undermines the natural justice and the rule of law. SC is the only hope for the people of India against the depredating politicians.
