Dengue, chikungunya message board
by R.K.Sundaram on Oct 19, 2006 05:59 PM  Permalink

It is our good fortune that we are not aflicted by many more viruses, given the way we behave in public places, we throw litter at our sweet will, spit as weplease. We are immune to public hygiene. our city fathers are busy making money for themselves. They care for themselves and donot worry about the public hygiene.we merrily create cesspools and fast breed mosquitos. Under these circumstances we should thank our stars for having spared us of many other viruses. With every passing day the common man loses hope in the government, civic bodies and ofcourse politicians. THe awareness is totally absent. It is only the almighty who can save us from disaster. sundaram

Papaya Leaves Juice can treat Dengue
by Adithya Kalyan on Oct 16, 2006 06:08 PM  Permalink

I would like to share this interesting discovery from one of my friend
son who has just recovered from dengue fever. Apparently, his son was in
the critical stage at the SJMC ICU when his pallet counts drops to 15 after
15 liters of blood transfusion. His father was so worried that he seeks
another friend's recommendation and his son was saved. He confessed to me that
he give his son raw juice of the papaya leaves. From a pallet count of 45
after 20 liters of blood transfusion, and after drinking the raw papaya leaf
juice, his pallet count jumps instantly to 135. Even the doctors and nurses
were surprised. After the second day he was discharged. So he ask me to
pass this good news around.

Accordingly it is raw papaya leaves, 2 pcs just cleaned and pound and
squeeze with filter cloth. You will only get one tablespoon per leaf.
So two tablespoon per serving once a day. Do not boil or cook or rinse with
hot water, it will loose its strength. Only the leafy part and no stem or sap.
It is very bitter and you have to swallow it like Won Low Kat. But it works.

Papaya Juice - Cure for Dengue
You may have heard this elsewhere but if not I am glad to inform you that

Dengue/ Chikungunya
by Rosita on Oct 16, 2006 11:30 AM  Permalink

For the past fortnight we have been constantly hearing about the two dreaded disease in news reports-Dengue and Chikungunya. We have been blaming the Government for it's inefficiency to control the disease. While to a certain extent I do agree with this , I also would like to ask that as citizens of the country what have we done to get rid of the vectors that carry these disease? A simple thing would be to keep our surroundings and our city / village clean with the help of the local bodies. And if they are not willing to co-operate then don't you agree that self help is the best help? There are educated youth who can contribute a lot for this cause. Isn't it time to we woke up and did something for our selves? Isn't it time we clean up the city / village? Don't ask the politicians / government to do it for you. They won't and we will lose out.....

Authority's Important Consideration
by pumaaa on Oct 12, 2006 12:58 PM  Permalink

1.Yes! the govt. should take necessary activities to provide separate passages for waste trench water with out mixing them with stream water, the actual water which we use.

2.should literate their citizens by including the related from the primary education onwards and through the various media, so can reach it to the required.

3.should provide nation wide units for garbage recycling.

Then we can have a disease defensible society.

Whose mistake is it?
by pumaaa on Oct 12, 2006 12:47 PM  Permalink

What to say? There is blunder and incorrect with everyone.

1.People - First people themselves should have some knowledge of clean habits and neatness and, must understand that keeping their surrounding Clean is their (First)Reponsible. Spit at anyplace, throw rubbles in water passages and one most important thing, pee whenever you find a fence near. Then why not you will get all this infectious, dreadful illnesses.

Must realize that they litter heavily over the way where the water supply tubes pass. And finally it reach them insecurely.

2.Governments - Dont have any vision, dont educate people for gud of cleaness, even dont have any proper cell to act on urgency, dont keep a speical health body doing round the clock R & Ds checking for any possible Out break. Should provide today's infrastructure to local bodies for garbage collection and should state guidliness to its people to follow it.

3.Local Bodies - They do the possible keeping the old worn out facilities. Exactly needs modernization in all aspects facility and functioning.

what more?
Overll, it is not that happens on a said day but needs actual understanding of importance of neatness and clean habits
