Kanshi Ram's formula for dalits will also dead or Mayawati will continue with his ideology
by Hari Prakash Dwivedi on Oct 17, 2006 02:11 AM  Permalink

Kanshi Ram could be remembered as a great philosopher with a well defined ideology for the dalits. But when Mayawati says she will not India be led by Manuwadi thinking, what I suppose she is more intended with the destructive polotical thinking. Moreover Kanshi Ram's movement for enhancing more involvement of Dalit in active politics of India also seem to be ruined with the political aspirations of Mayawati who with any hooks and crooks seeking to have votes anyway. Otherwise a party with extremist thinking of Tilak Tarajoo aur Talwar Inako Maro Joote Chaar will be never alloting maximum tickets of MLA, MP to the three Ts she always shouting.

I think with sad demise of Kanshi Ram a great ideology will be also dead.

My homage to Shri Kanshi Ram. A life well spent for the cause of the downtrodden. He achieved what even Ambedkar could not. He changed the course of Indian politics. May his soul rest in piece.

Untimely demise of mananiya Kanshi Ram
by Santosh Kumar on Oct 09, 2006 10:48 AM  Permalink

Kanshi Ram has left us to live the life with dignity and empowerment by his sustained struggle against castist forces. He has been second pillar in the line of providing path to struggle for due rights to Dalit after Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Amberdeker. His legacy of struggle for the best space to Dalits in the society will continue in future too with even higher momentum in the leadership of young and dynamic intelectuals and activists. Now we have two invisible mightiest forces backing us with their spirits and enlightened vision.

In Grief

Champion of Dalits
by Dr.Pandu Naik on Oct 09, 2006 09:22 AM  Permalink

I am pained to know the death of BSP founder Sri Kansiram. He was the second most successful leader among weaker sections of the society after Dr.B.R.Ambedkar in mobilising dalits, backward castes and religious minorities against the oppression of majority community. He redefined strategies of political empowerment of the weaker sections by uniting them together. He made personal sacrifices for the cause of weaker sections. It was an empowerment through participation in democratic process rather than violence or fundamentalism. He always advocated and practiced equality among people irrespective of their background particularly caste and religion. He proved by his political strategies that dalits can be united to occupy the seat of power in democracy, which saw his party thrice forming government in Uttar Pradesh. May his personal sacrifices and ultimate death inspire the new generation of dalits to assert their identities, fight for legitimate rights, serve the society, forge unity, inculcate leadership and live with self respect.
