This was bound to happen one day. The marriage between the two lasted for 22 years which itself is a big feat in today's turbulent politacl scenario. The NCP- Congress alliance is also shaky...perhaps on its last leg. My assumption is that during the next assembly elections it will be the BJP- NCP- MNS combine that will come to power. The Congress will ally with RPI and few small parties but will lose the next elections. As for the Shiv Sena it will be back to thrashing hapless youths on Valentine's Day and resorting to Mumbai bandh whevenever a senior Sena leader develops constipation. The sainiks can start revamping their usual vada-pao stalls or auto-rickshaws. Oh, i guess they sold the autos to bhaiyyas since most drivers are from UP- Bihar.
Today the Sena cannot afford to lose the support of the BJP. After Raj leaving they have no one to actually run the organization. If they keep loosing hands there wont be a Sena. Sena cannot break the alliance for one seat. And if they choose to leave the alliance then Raj may just get the oppurtunity to partner with BJP. Or is the game being played.
With Pramod missing, this was inevitable. Had he been around, he would have saved this disaster. Neither Sena nor BJP would suffer, Hindus and Hindutva would suffer in Maharashtra, but these people will not understand. This is not the time to sever ties but such is the bad luck of Maharashtra and India.
PKL. Oct 5, Thursday, 2006. What is read under the today's caption if confirmed later by political separation between Shiv-Sena & BJP in Mumbai and Maharashtra, would only illustrate that it is not the ideology but the lust for power that kept alliance of the two in place. Now that the two saffron protagonists of Hindutva are denied the aggulitative adhesive over past few years in Raisina and Brehan -Mumbai the chips of the block are falling apart blaming each other for not keeping words of trust and faith !This is the political nemesis of losing at the hustings! Tie up between BJP-Shiv Sena was based on natural thoughts and programmes. This should not be damaged, due to one or two seats or the personal ego of some leaders. BJP is a bigger party. It has great leaders. They must intervene to adjust with smaller partners to achieve a larger goal in the national politics. The present day politics of so called secular parties has failed to give nation a right direction. Congress has failed to implement its policies and is helpless before Left parties. Majority population of the country is looking for some alternative, which could think of them and the nation in true meaning.
And BJP is the only alternative if it starts behaving properly. Enough of infighting and enough of politics with the people. Please be sincere and think of the nation and the community, which it represents. Don't copy others. Speak truth. Please respect smaller outfits. Even if they demand something more than their right, give them. Siv Sena is your natural ally. Please don't snap ties with them. Otherwise you will also not survive. And it will be a greatest loss to the nation and nationalism, which you represent.
