WHO and Indian medical authorities should do something to control, prevent and eradicate this illness fromspreading further. It is very painful for the elderly members. What is the preventive / immunization medicine for chikungunya?
Hello, its very good WHO is trying to help, in kerala but in vidarbha region specific in buldana district, there is a lot of patients of chikangunya,
So its my requests to come up with some plans for vidarbha region, i know few villeges in that region, which having 98% ppl affected with chikangunya, The doctors and medical shops are only earning money,
Kerala Govt need to take urgent steps to control the mosquitos through out the state other wise entire Kerala will get affected by mosquito borne diseases like Chikungunya. In my child hood I remember staff from muncipalities/panchayats use to spray chemicals to kill mosquito larvas in stagnated water, but I don't find any such measure now. Govt need to take measures to control mosquitos on a war footing and people also have to contribute towards this. Because today's Kerala is full of mosquitos.
The Chikunguniya is also affecting other states like Rajasthan & Madhya Pradesh very badly but the state government is i think waiting more people to suffer from this and than they will take action like kerla i think other states should take immediate action on this and try to prevent it. i was in rajasthan last week and find that each and every family is suffring from this(including my own) and doctors had no clue how to treat patients. now this is caughting childrens in the state very fast and could be dengerious for them government should think very seriously and take action.
