it is laughing stock of the political parties who are pleading mercy for Afzal
what sort of politics is that they are trying to save a terrorist who himself has killed so many people
they should be ashamed to do so

Afzal should be hanged.
by Vaishnavi on Oct 04, 2006 04:05 AM  Permalink

Terrorist like afzal should not he execused at any cost. They have killed so many people mecilessly and they don't deserve any mercy from us. For pope's speech they have issued a fatwa. They want to kill the pope just for insulting their religion. Do they even know the words "Forgive" or "Excuse". They don't have any value for life and such people should be punished severly. I bet that even if he is excused, he is not going to change is heart. He would still want to kill innocent people in that name of so-called "Jihad".

do government needs to consider pardon petition??
by shyam on Oct 04, 2006 12:29 AM  Permalink

does government still need to consider pardon petition after such a long time and so many terrorist activities? India need some amendments regarding terrorists so that no one else can ask for pardon petition in future. POTA has to come back.

This is insane
by Prashant on Oct 04, 2006 12:17 AM  Permalink

Well, our govt. is at it again. Appeasing the minorities. Is this country brain dead or what is wrong with people ? This guy attacks our nation's parliament and we are having opinion polls on whether he should be executed. Which part of the body our brain has decided to reside these days. This guy needs to die for killing innocent people. This guy is a killer and follower of contorted ideals. Limb for a limb and eye for an eye. Gandhigiri is not the answer. Okay lets rationalize. You pardon him and then all of a sudden this maniac turns into a jello and sheds all this crooked ideology and gets into the public mainstream. What is the logic here ? Why pardon him ? He is what he is by power of what he believes in. He does not deserve to live as much as those who were killed by hin didn't deserve to die. This is yet another blatant display of why the minorities cannot be trusted. I am a moderate but not once have i seen the minorities doing the right things. Come on my Muslim brothers speak up. Slam me , call me names but react atleast. What do you think? Does this parasite deserve to live? I am with BJP on this. Death to this lowly being

Victims families against Afzal
by labrea on Oct 03, 2006 06:29 PM  Permalink

Politics is everything in India, and 'achieving power by any means, fair or foul' is the national motto, so it should come as no surprise if Afzal's death sentence is commuted to 'life' on 'humanitarian grounds', and then set free in a year or two for 'good behavior' - makes for good politics. Good show, wot!
