terrorism is a relative term. say bhaghat singh and his men were martyers from indian point of view, but they were hard core terrorist groups from british point of view. so people who are in power often find it easy to justify their action. say people who fight for cause of kashmir independence are terrosrists and security forces who ransack kashmiri people and hold people of kashmir by force are called as soldiers. think how many men did indian soldiers kill in kashmir. kashmiri people are not afraid of militants, so it is a mere propoganda that indian security forces in kashmir are for security of people. there is not a single kashmiri who welcomes indian security force. so what the security forces are doing in kashmir are not protecting common people but keeping kashmir a part of india by force.
so it is really funny if u call afzal a terrorist. then i think there will be a mass hanging if u start counting what indian security forces did in kashmir

Its just like Ms. Roy to join in protests like these to get her HIGH on being a so called social activist and secularist. These are the kind of stunts that get noticed in the west and then there is a big hulla about India being anti minority and anti poor and then thriving on the publicity so gained. Same holds for her (cast in the same mould)so called social activist Ms.Patkar of the Narmada Bachao infamy.

Ridiculous

Whoever advocates clemency for Afzal, Spare a thought for the families who lost their dear ones during the parliament attack. There should be no mercy shown on a fellow who had no mercy for others. It is as simple as that. I cannot understand how the kashmiri CM and other activists can support clemency for a guy who tried (or helped) to mass murder everyone in parliament. There should be no sentiments when it comes to justice, I hope the justice prevails.....

by Sandeep Tajane on Oct 05, 2006 07:51 AM  Permalink

See, Now The political parties & NGO's started to bang the streets for mercy to the person who was involved in attack on World's largest Democratic Parliaments ask only one question to the NGO's & the Political parties " Where were this guys when the 7 JAWAN got SHAHID at parliament & what would had happen if these Jawan's wont let their lifes down for country? Will these politicians were alive to beg for Afzals mercy? & the NGOs Do you think this terrorist is only having family? What about the Jawans families? Wont they loose their everything in this?

Even I know hanging Afzal is not going to make the Jawans Alive again but this will be the best example for those who are planning for the next terrorist attack. Do these guys have any mercy for us, our country for our people? Then why should we so polite with these maniacs ???????? Why ?????

We have lost our N numbers of soldiers in this inner skin war. But no more now.

Kill That ..

Attack on Parliment is not an ordinary event. Yet in view of present atmophere , his sentence should be converted to life imprisonment. I feel that it is in the interest of people of India.

shame
by Tulip on Oct 03, 2006 06:06 PM  Permalink

Its a shame that people like Afzal are being supported and requested for a mercy. It is sheer disrespect and disregard for those martyrs who gave their life during the parliament attack if the cause of their martyrdom is defeated altogether.People who suggest mercy for him certainly are not the ones who feel for the country and its people and hence not wothy of being listened to.Lets ignore them.
