chikungunya and dengue
by rajesh on Oct 05, 2006 10:09 PM  Permalink

These politicians are to make statements and take their salaries. The health minister of AndraPradesh says, there were no deaths because of chikungunya and hence no need to worry. So the govt. will worry only if there is loss of life, they dont care about the pain the people are going through.

cities are slums
by sudhir suri on Oct 04, 2006 05:54 PM  Permalink

Our cities are turning into slums. Stagnant water ,garbage dumps are regular part of nearly every street in HAVE NOT colonies.
I am unfortunately UPA govt can only talk of growth rates ,not of quality of life .
I am staying on Gurgaon on the highway . The area is full of trash ,and rubbish ,not collected for days.
Can I blame the health depatment . Can Shiela Dixit sack the health secretary for the dereliction of duty. It is more important for her to keep the party happy.
Same thing for Health Minister. Can he take the erring health ministers all over India to task .
The incidence of epidemic will continue to rise . We will only be happy at the sensex.
