the modern history of Indo chinese relation is painful, infact very painful from Indian perspective but then what has happened has happened. Historical mistakes cannot be rectified by continued mistrust and enemity. The future lies in jointly working together and rationally solving the pending border issues.
I have never met a chinese. But these last few years, I have been able to read up a lot of information on two aspects of Chinese life. The young chinese who have not been doctored by the ideology that governs the political class is as bindaas as the youths of this country, for that matter any country.
However, politically, the chinese have time and again proved to be totally Machiavellian in their intent. How the indian leadership is unable to see this, beats the heck out of me.
You can only be friends with your equal. Under what parameters are India and china equal? The Tibetan aggression, their posturing in Taiwan, the Aksai Chin sector, their claim for Arunachal Pradesh all point to a belligerence that simply cannot be wished away.
As columnists in this portal have only too glaringly pointed out, shaking the hands with the dragon is a sure fire way to doom. It is high time that the Indian leadership woke up from its hypnotized somnambulance and tackled the issues that need urgent redressal.
Sir, I completely agree to what Mr.Tenzin Choeying has mentioned in the article.Chinese are the ones who should never be trusted. They are traitors and we Indians need to be very wary about the growing interest in the Chinese in our economy.Unless we tread the path cautiously,we would become their slaves. No need to go back to 1962.On 14 Nov 2006,the Chinese Ambassador says,Arunachal Pradesh is theirs. This itself speaks volumes about the Chinese attitude. So we better be very very cautious.
There is and should not be any doubt that China is a threat to our very existence. After assimilating Tibet now China is eyeing India. These people are parasites who eat out everything they embark upon for their needs. They are not trustworthy and India should make no trade negotiations or dealings with Chinese. In fact, Indians should bycott all Chinese goods to save domestic industries.I agree with Tibetans and sympathise with their right to respectable and peaceful living in their homeland.
You can never trust China. China is a very huge threat to India. There is no other way to contain China other than developing creditable nuclear deterence. The relations between India and China can improve only when the communist regime there goes down like it happened in Russai in 1990 and democratic forces take over. I am sure this will happen one day. Maret economy (capitalism) and socialism cannot coexist together for long
Dear friend, I am proud of you.A young person like you who has fire in his belly to fight against injustice, to fight and fight again the cruel chines people[people who rule the country] My best wishes for your work. regards yogini
As usual India is going to go overboard about this great historical visit, bear in mind the chinese never do anything without a plan, their doplomat has already claimed Arunachal, be sure it is recorded with the chinese who will certainly bring it up every now and then, but the other issue of Tibet, the entire world is guilty of turning a blind eye to this horrible genocide to a peace loving beautiful people. Where are the champions of human rights ????? America where are you and what are you doing, you walked all over Iraq why dont you walk over China ?? Can you ? Will you or is the lure of dollars to strong ?
Tenzing, be assured, majority of Indians are with the cause of Tibet and its freedom struggle. China is a dictatorship, and only the leftists like CPI(M) etc. would give up Arunachal Pradesh, Aksai Chin, etc. just to appease their chineese masters.
