Tibet is Great Country
by balamurali on Nov 20, 2006 12:27 PM  Permalink

True. Chinese can't be trusted..They literally stole tibet which has lot of natural resources and strategic point. Outright human rights violation is happening. and our communists are admiring china and supporting...also, chinese recently voted against a resolution for banning Terrorist outfit Lashkar-E-Toiba promoted by US.

My heart and soul goes for tibetians.Bottom line, Chinese hatao!

Free Tibet
by Chaand on Nov 20, 2006 12:10 PM  Permalink

As an Indian my heart is with Tenzin Choeying. He's right in saying that the Chinese cannot be trusted. However, it's not politically right today to ask for freedom. Then it's the same story whether it's so-called communist China or so-called democratic India or Russia or anywhere else. Repression is the tool that governments use to crush anyone aspiring of separation. Tibetans should thank their stars that they are at least being given refuge in India. They should make the best of it and continue to voice their protest in whatever way possible.

Tibet and Hu Jinto
by RMD on Nov 20, 2006 11:34 AM  Permalink

To the best of our knowledge Tibet has no oil reserves, or strategic minerals nor is in any way militarily strategically located in the eyes of the developed world.

Thats why the Americans have yet to make their foray into Tibet. This is why no one cares.

Sadly the Tibetians are aliens in their own land, with their cultural identity severely at risk. A generation or two from now, they will find place only in history books with a chapter, titled "A Lost and forgotten People"

India must support the Tibetan cause
by Sachin Kumar on Nov 18, 2006 08:56 PM  Permalink

India muist support the Tibetan cause. The chinese keep playing around with words and back-stab when we least expect it. Indians must force its politicians to be bolder. Just economics shouldnt rule the dialogue. the chinese must be forced to be kept away and we must put pressure from our side. Throughout history the chinese have shown themselves to be untrustworthy, not just for Tibetans, but for all its neighbours. We can get bigger markets than chinese if we start building relationships with its neighbours, even Taiwan.

Well Said!!
by shraddha on Nov 18, 2006 06:03 AM  Permalink

Well Said!! - I too hated Indian politicians for saying tibet is an integral part of china. China never has been and never will be a friend. I stand by you as a fellow indian, a fellow human being and most importantly as an anti-chinese person

Did Indian gain independence from the British by fightin a war, Any country can hold their people to ransom in an Iron curtain but the question is for how long???Time will come when even the Chinese will get a taste of their own medicine, even then question is how long people have to wait to see that happenin.China mite have attacked India in '62 and defeated India (If Nehru and Menon had heard their army general's plan then that also wouldn't have ahappened)but one fact is A China which cant retrieve Taiwan a small strait is layin claims to Arunachal Pradesh, do you think the present Indian generation of youngsters will be that magnanimous to the Chinese in case they decide to attack India. As Michael Krepon of Henry L. Stimson Center wrote, to attack Taiwan Chinese soldiers will have to swim the Taiwan straits. They mite encircle India by dolin out arms and ammunitions to India's neighbors - reality is India has withstood aggression for years so newer aggression will be faced by Indians bravely and the day wont be far when even Tibet gains freedom. It is like sayin in 1900 India will never gain independence from the British but in 47 years time everythin changed.
