Historical View
by Gaurav Mittal on Nov 16, 2006 10:54 AM  Permalink

Can some one tell me that why time and again we Indians are told that our history started only after 1947? Why they conviniently forget that Indian civilization is the only and the oldest living civilization with an unbroken continuity?

While saying that in 1947 the literacy in India was 16% and for the first in history Indian majority is literate, what Mr Edward want to tell us?

Mr Luse,
Why was Ms Sonia Maino Crying? Was it for Gujrat roits or for Delhi Riots ..where 3000 innocent Sikhs were killed in a single day by her partys goons..and her husband had justified it by saying "when a great tree falls.." BTW 69 hindus were torched to death ..which triggerd the gujrat roits..and of the 1300 killed ( not 2000 as trumpted by your fellow journalists in Indian English media) 500 were hindus. Stop preaching to us about democracy and tell that stupid Texan to get out of Iraq.

Non-sense
by Raghu on Nov 16, 2006 10:44 AM  Permalink

What he knows about Modi? Is he aware of the fact that how Gujarat has developed under his governance? This is the fate of India. Anybody and everybody comments on India who dont even know whats India. Just come here, spend some time and comment! Is this what India is meant for? We should stop encouraging such articles which are based on a few days visits to India.

I really enjoyed reading this interview because not only was it extremely objective, it also gave very crucial insights about our country which at times we tend to overlook.

Simply awesome stuff.

India's complexity appealing
by Seenu Subbu on Nov 16, 2006 08:37 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Fine. Acknowledged. But I don't understand the fuss about Sonia Gandhi.
There seems to be a larger scheme to push Sonia towards the PM post out there, what with foreign governments giving awards to Sonia for her supposed work towards pluralism in India, and every Tom, Dick and Harry interviewing her. Dudes, don't ever believe a "choked voice" interview to be for real.
Something is rotten in the state of India.

sonis gandhi
by Videshi Villian on Nov 17, 2006 06:30 AM  Permalink
Seenu Subu forgets that the GADI his RSS goons loved to occupy has been spurned by sonia gandhi. This RSS stooge may not like her but millions of indians love her and that is what matters.

Dude, there are thousands of selfless people working for betterment of people. Sonia Gandhi did nothing but win elections with her two children in front of her and the Gandhi name.
Did I even talk about RSS, Congress-I chela? You love white skin, don't you.
Promising Congress-I folks have died under mysterious circumstances and an old spineless Sardar has been propped up, waiting to empty the chair for his real Master.
Grow up, Villain.
