It should be a Tit for Tat situation. It is so very disgusting that a family who has lost its breadearner because of these stupid people are the sufferers till the end and they have to keep fighting for justice till the end...if they get....and what justice they can get...a mere stupid compensation for all the efforts and tortures they faced during this... and on the other hand the persons who has done it are free and enjoying life...their attitude is jab hoga tab dekha jayega...Such people should be kept in jail unless and untill the suffering family is given justice.In this case the accused himself will see to it that the suffering family is brought to Justice as early as possible... and Ofcourse the Driving Licence should be stripped off from these people and no license should be issued to them in future...
they should be sentenced of min 14 years of jail, if he had killed anyone, doesn't matter whether he is bollywood star salman khan or ordinary driver, as crime is a crime. if he had an accident without any casuality then, he should be fined as per the traffic rule charges.
These people should be punished severly so that no other persons tries to do the same again . More over the culprits must be made to pay huge sums of money to the victims . Latest incident in Bandra , has made a girl child Parvathi as orphan . The judiciary must ensure that enough money & shelter to be given to Parvathi by the culprits . If not they should be given life imprisonment . It has become mormal that hit & run cases culprits walk out freely in no time . The basic law must be changed to punish these henious criminals harshly .
I think the biggest profiteers from car sales are car manufacturers. They have some responsibility to share on this. How about they provide some part of the money to improve road safety. How about cameras to check the speed limit. How about random checks for alcohol content in the blood. How about stripping the license for minimum 10 years in case of non-compliance? Ofcourse law enforcement to the spirit of law can only do this. Those who get involved in such accidents should ofcourse be made to pay in terms of huge financial burdens including a prison term and also a life-ban from sitting behind the wheels forever.
There should be non bailable warrant issued into jurisdiction to make these culprits aware that there is no way to escape . There is always loophole for them to move out and pay some money to the victim's family members and save themselves.
it is very simple.if the law says that drinking/drunk while driving is not allowed,then how can the driver is aquitted more over when he has killed people. i get scared if there is sombody driving rash eg. on high beam at night, speed driving cabs, young boys with hegh end car drive zig zag to scare others either to those who are standing on road or other drivers just for the sake of fun.he should be punished (tough may be with RI)straight forward. there should be no question of aquitting. gauss
The Indian Penal Code sets out the punishment. I think, it needs an amendment.
Driving under influence of alchol ought to be punishble with the licince being withdrawn for 18 months.
However, people sleeping in public property cannot claim any compensation.

The law can't punish them,its obvious,coz the law is the mistress of the rich in our country,the public should lynch a few such spoilt rich brats,that may help.
