Dear Mr K.RAO, As per the law of GOD, the guilty should be stoned to death. Dont blame the religion or the Law of GOD for the fanatics mistakes!!Yes its happening in India only.. not in those lands where Shariath law is there... Will rediff publish the stories of atrocities on Dalit women as "Hindu Panchyath" ?? Nowadays its become a fashion to blame Islam for everything.. As for as Islam is concerned, if rape is proved, the guilty should be stoned to death !!! Guys if you dont know about Islam(which most of the net users ) read about the great religion from authentic sources(not from the biased media whose aim is to boost the business/sensational news). I hope Rediff will be responsible to its headlines !!!!
Hi, In India,there is no meaning for the law. normaly victims,always suffer.this is shamful,that a women being raped, and instead of getting justice she has been driven out of village.
These chaps had already gone from bad to worse.. now it is bad to mad.. what kind of justice system is this? Why the heck is this kind of 'jury' being allowed to exist? If thats a requirement, then lets dismantle our judiciary and executive coz they do nothing about such idotic acts which pass of as 'justice'/
Is this the law of God as put in Holy quran? Human beings are to be treated as animals? Please some one explain. Why there is no hue and cry about this where as a single cartoon will generate a world of protest?

That single series of cartoon was of Prophet SAWS, an highly esteemed and respected figure in Islam.Those cartoons were clear insult to our faith, it also showed hatred and intolerence of western world for others faith, an allegation which they put on Islam.Such an insult will not be acceptable to any human for his respective faith. As far as this matter is concerned it is very shocking and clearly potrays how male dominated soceity curbs the right and freedom of women of any religion.Similar rulings have been given in past also by non muslim panchayats to non-muslim women,but never a headline like" Hindu Panchayat does so....and so.........against dalit women raped or paraded naked in front of whole village".Media knows word Muslim generates curosity and hatred these days. As far as Islam is considered on rape9which is the worst of all crime mentioned) the rapist if proven guilty, should be stoned to death in public. I leave for you to decide whether it is Iswlam or ignorance of peole and Media ptrayal that should be targeted.
Decision taken by Panchayat is not Justified in this Matter. Recent Judgement in the case of Priyadarshini's case tells us how much fine a rapist will have to pay for it. It is Purely the rapist mistake and he should be fined for it and not the Women. If this type of things go uncared,it means we are spoiling our own place. Panchayat should change their way of thinking and work for well being of their society.
Whats wrong with these people? they live in our country, eat our food and want to follow a different shariat law altogether...and their shariat is a mixed veg soup of idiocrancies....whay cant we have everyone following one single code of law as laid down by our founding fathers? just how medieval can these guys get? it just shows their uneducated status...not being able to come to terms with reality..they just should be transported to some other country where they can do want they please...
What is the fault of that woman if she got rapped infact the one whi has given such a verdict should be banned for lifetime. Muslim intellectuals must intervene in this subject.
