Sad to note the contents of your mail. Yes but for how long. In future, if he restarts his behaviour, you will need to approach the court again. Before going legal, have a heart-to-heart talk with your Father and sort it out between the three of your. If needed, ask some elderly person from our relative, whom your father respects to interven and sort it out. With best wishes, Rani

If you look at what is going on in courts you will be very shocked. Several judges have already said that in many cases men have been going domestic violence and women are filing false cases. Please do a google search for the same and you will find a recent judgement bu kerala high court. As soon as a case is filed the abuse of mothers and sisters of husband starts. Is this what we want? We always had criminals in society and now this law is giving then one more way to abuse innocents.

It is fact that there are some cases where the mens are being tortured. But it not general. In most of the cases womens are subject to tortured. But it is the judicial proces only by which rechto the truth. But it is very much unfortunate when Ld. courts are passing such commets and generalizing the factswhich leads to deminishing the very purpose and object of the law as well as the lawmakers. with out the biasness and predetermined mentality no Judge can pass such comments.we are unfourtunate that in the vedic period there was provision to punish the bias judges but in our new era no such law to punish them.
what is the procedure of implemntation of the law. after filing of the case what happens- 1) does the police take the case to the accused party by hand 2) does the case go to the accused party by post

After taking the case the court will ask for a report from the protection officer within three days of the taking of case by the court. and after perusing the report court will take appropriate action to that effect.police will not arrest at the first instance with out the order of the court.
