What's in a name? If east or west Bangalore is the best and like other cities such as Bombay, calcutta, Chennai change in name of Bangalore to Bangalooru is welcome.
I dont understand why indian government is changing the names of the popular cities to horrible names. Its really not fair and no use, its really confusing in international market.
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Call Bangalore by any other name, Bangalore and its sweetness, will not diminish. I really do not know whether it was right in renaming it, but i only wish politicians concentrate on something better and concrete like development, allevating poverty, unemployment, stopping making money in crores, etc.
Whether its Bangalore or Bangalooru, its not going to make any difference to the residents of the city. Road conditions, traffic issues, security etc. all will remain in the same state, pathetic to say the least. Instead, the politicians should focus on improving the city to stay in competetion. Otherwise sooner or later, Bangalore/Bengalooru or whatever it ends up with finally, will be the out from the IT race.
