Although the subject of reservation is very sensitive and touchy to both parties those who are in favour and to those against it, but still its not that big a thing to recall a partition of the nation. Dear sir at the onset I wouldlike you to mind ur language and not to use such inflamatory headings for ur article.
Dear sir dont try to malign the feelings of people and deeply understand the power of this platform which is called internet. Try to use ur pen for constructive thoughts especially conidering the fact that those who are protesting against it are young blood of our country.
At last I would like to tell u one thing. The partition which really took place must have taken birth as a thought in someone's mind first and executed later on the ground. Dear friend if at all we have to give some thought to people why not they be positive and sound the same?

The author is perfectly right. Till today, I did not know or bother what was the caste of my collegue, classmate or friend. Now, when I see entrance exams lists, I will see two sections, clearly marking who came in through quota and who did so on merit. The person's caste will be there for all to see. And I wil know, and be deeply aware , that the person who I shared my meals with is an OBC with 50% marks who was given things on a platter, when many of my deserving friends perhaps committed suicide though they got 80% marks, simply because of the misfortune of their birth in a non SC/ST/OBC family.
forget Brahmins, Dalits, Bhumihars, Harijans, Kayasthas...India is going to have just two castes now- the quota priviledged and the slogging meritocrat.

yes Rajesh, what you are saying is true, its all crap. They haven't done anything and neither would they do anything. Its just another round table bullshit. Anyways no five points are going to solve the issue unless people in general are taken into account.
The question of 'Making center and state relations strong' when people question their identity as being Indians, does not arise at all. There's no point in having a state with people who are totally anti-Indian.
Better come up with a different plan or dont go to kashmir!!
Close to sixty years after our independence, should we still have the reservations. We have given enough opportunities. The SCs And STs have shown considerable progress. Yes, there is still some backlog. How do we solve it? Not by continuing reservation. Phase it out. Plan. Don't strike a death blow to education. It is suicidal. Parliamentarians think of the country, don't think only of your seats in the Lok Sabha.

The Nation had a great expectation from Manmohan, with due respect for his academic background.
But he failed miserably in delivering goods to Nation and he has proved himself no better than VP of the past, for whom the Nation spends Crores of rupees in his health care while the poor Indian dies of starvation even today.
Nation shd recognise these pseudo-champions of poor Indians.
Why not RESERVATION

Dear readers,
It's ridiculas to say that only the Brahmins and upper class in India has got the brains. The fact that they get into good institutions is because their father's are rich or at least gave them a good education. They take tution from 2/2 teachers per subjects. Why should they not get god marks. Is these good marks because of good brains???.
I am an IT woreker based outside India and from lower class in India. There are many so-called upper calss Hindu Brahmins and Banias working with me. I don't see them as super genious. In fact many of the have knowledge and aptitute much lower than me.
So why so many of them are here and people from my caste and background are almost zero? It's only because they get better benefit from parents, money and govt. We, reside in the remote areas and get nothing and still compte with them and even exceed them outside India. WHY?
So RESERVATION must be there to ensure people like us come up from the remote areas of India, from the Jungles fartest places. We don't want to keep cleaning your tolitets anymore?

Mr.PM we thought you were different from the other politicains, but we were wrong. Dont leave your chair , stick there and rule on our graves. make it 100% reservation and may be ull never have any competion for that chair. who bothers about the country its the chair that matters
Is India any more Secular? As the preamble of our constitution says? Then why are reservations being done based on religion and caste? Why not on economic condition of an Indian Citizen? Mr PM is an economist, by qualification, but a big let down in application of his knowledge in solution of this problem. Or has he changed colors to aid caste based politics.. at the cost of next partition of India.
Partition is the painful option accepted by this country to overcome all its chronicle problems. Partition between Hindus and Muslims, Sikhs & between men and women. Another partition, partition for the minds what is on the next corner.
But on the other face of this issue, not the political side of it, question remains that are the quotas really needed?
Critical analysis of our countries demographics tale me that abt 30 % of the population in this country is living below poverty line and about the same % is just doing slightly better than them. I am not saying that in that lower 30% strata of our society there is no Brahman who doses not has any quota.
Realistic analysis of it suggests to me that this country need a quota for at lest that 30% population. Else, the chance to that equality which, my Doctor friends are fighting for. will never come to existence.
I would request each one of you to take a look at the those poor kids begging helplessly on street. Do we have the guts to give that fair chance to that kid.
Preserve his right for food, clothing, shelter & education, 4 basic necessities of our civilized world?
I am into IT by profession, I would like to very strongly oppose the process of these reservations happening in India.
I think it a best idea to have reservations on the basis of the candidated merit & his/her economic background together.
I also think that the house of parliament should start having a minimum educational eligibily for people to come into politics & become ministers because may be then they will be able to make a wise decision.
What this govt. has done for the forward caste people? There are lot of forw.caste people who are well below poverty line. what these politicians done for them? Now a days we are getting our jobs only in pvt sector. If govt decides to introduce quota in pvt.sector also , we have only 2 options
one is to commit suicide with our family or to leave the country to find better place to work.
What the sin we committed? What the wrong forw.caste people done. If we are not given opporunity , then its social injustice..
Its utter shame.The communists, congress and BJP have together masterminded the dirty plot of dividing every nook and corner of india based on caste.The british were far better rulers than these donkeys.I feel sad for those patriots who gave their life to free this India from colonial rulers but in the end to see it hijacked by ruthless political dacoits who spits the venom of caste and reap the benefits . Not even an ounce of patriotism left in my blood now. I remember once a friend of mine asked what would I do if americans decide to conquer us. There is no option left, but for the brighter Indians to just Quit India. Now the quotas for OBC, then the next on the UPA agenda is quota for the minorities. The other option is to convert. In any case, the Pope is putting pressure on India and so are the Imamas. This country has sold itself. The second partition foundation has been laid! Reservations are divisive!
