I strongly feel and second the views expressed by you. But the tragedy is the men at the top are presenting deaf ears to the unevitable.
Reservation is another name of dividing the society. We should inculcate and promote onenness, patriotism and unity. We are secular and no one should tear the very fabric which binds us. By reserving the seats for a particular society/caste, you are sending a message to each and everyone that you are different, a separate queer fish and this will breed in the generations to come. Once the feeling inherits and the deserving person is prevented from moving up, the whole society and India as a country will be divided into factions. The rebellian that will follow would take the educated youth to the path of division and destruction. All these would follow in the aftermath of reservation and another partition of India would reach sooner than later.
The politicians around the PM has forced Dr Singh another politician. I would pray for the country and would yearn Dr Singh to use his veto power and dispel such fears that are looming large on the entire country.
The stupid decision.I hate prime minister Manmohon Singh , because he not only betrayed the students but only destroy the whole nations attitude towards progress. I do not want to make any comments against HRD ministry. I think it should be renamed as ..ministry for Harmful Rubbish Development., I think only Saitan can save the country India
As rightly said this is nothing but dividing the nations to fullfill their vote banks epecially by the leaders like Arjun singh, Paswan who bloody are losing their mass support. If this is introduced we will be ashamed to say that we are indians because this not the india even Dr. Ambedkar dreamed of. This just the idiot and foolish politicians like Manmohan singh and Sonia playing vote bank politics.
the world is getting closer by developing technologies and coming closer,the GOI decision is just opposite to above lines,break the country already fragmented and studded with enormous problems and take to farthest dark corner

First tell us what is your stand. Do you favour or oppose reservations. You tell us that you succeeded without any help. Now why are you so angry with people who are saying same thing. Merit does not need any qouta/reservation to emerge winner!

Dear Mr vijay, As per your message you seem to have come upfrom a good background with uncles as enginners atc Then why the hell you require reservation. you can afford to go to college,eat thrice a day, house to live in. then why reservations be given on caste basis read the comments of Sampitroda an obc himself see what he says being the head of knowledge comission. Read comments from statisticians and learned people from various backgrounds then you realise who dirty are ou politicians. If you still say yes,they we should go for partition of country based on caste.first was on religion

I proud of on me as I succeded in my life without any help (reservation). ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ even i am proud of you. but will you accept a 40% OBC guy enjoy the same position as you ??
I have an example of my own family which is lower middle class. however there are five engineers, one chartered account, one bank manager two gazetted government officers and many more. All this achieved by my family without any reservation in open competition. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Do you still want your children and their children to enjoy the reservations....?

My dear Vijay, I can very well empathise with your feelings and there is some truth in what you say. Wisdom is not the privilege of the so-called FCs or any community But while approaching the issue emotionally, you have missed out on something: The problem of BCs and OBCs is not higher education but primary education. So schools at the village level will have to be given top priority by the Government for providing the infrastructure, teaching staff and equipment and acessories.
I appreciate your dignity and uprightness in not claiming any concession under reservations. But yours is an exception and not a rule. Please tell me how many OBCs and BCs have this approach.
Do you see the big divide and heartburn this policy has created between people? That's the issue that needs to be addressed. Blaming the Hindu society or the Brahmins for the caste divisions is hackneyed technique that we should overcome. We need to re-integrate these long neglected segments into the mainstream. And that is not possible by increasing the quota!
I think that the writer of this article has no mind. comparing 1947 with 2006 is a work of headless and mindless person. It is a matter of surprise that these peoples are claiming that they only can rule India. I belongs to OBC but never thought to get benefits of quota. I proud of on me as I succeded in my life without any help. I can compet with any person of any cast. You people who are agitating against quota quote that all seats will go to persons having 40% marks. while commenting you forgot that person seating next to you belongs to OBC competed all other so called upper cast persons and achieved his place. There are a large number of intelectuals who belong to OBC ahieved there targate without any reservation. Wisdom is not a propriety of you people. Yes I am against every type of quota. But I am also against socalled upper caste's blame that OBCs cab get only 40% or less marks. Most of you know the competency of OBCs. The only thing India wants to wash of minds of socalled upper castes persons who do not wants to come other at their par. Why a Brahmin remain Brahmin and get respect despite the fact he is a criminal, illitrate and unsocial? Why a dalit or OBC remain eligible for hate of socalled upper caste people though he has more knowledge, well education and well manners? It is also true that most of my children who achieved their place in society on their own (without any reservation) agaist quota system and participating in your demonstration. Is it fair to call each and every body from the OBC as incompetent?

this is so pathetic to c the government behaving in such a ruthless way..this is one of the worth example of a democracy...how can they play wid the future of the comin generation for their personal agenda

I perfectly agree with the views given by Author. I want to add both Mr V P Singh and Mr Arjun Singh are from Royal family. And every body knows that all old royal family never allowed India to become one. Our history also says, these royal family has never allowed us to remain united and even after independence also these gyes don't want that we should remain united. One has brought Mandal another OBC.Both must be debar from any ministry portfolio.These gyes have not seen India, simply by sitting in royal house they want to creat problem in united India rather these gyes has created.

Dear Fellow Indian, When you say that the Government does not see all it's citizen as equal, do you align yourself away from the Indian government, and from the real India? Do you personally think that all Indians are equal? Are you and your "upper" caste-protagonist think-alikes willing to embrace the lower order? Will you go beyond your chain-binding social beliefs and ancient mind-sets to marry into lower castes, accept them to grace the highest of social functions like religious poojas, wedding ceremonies, and such blind rituals, which you know more about as you have created them? Will you accept quotas if you marry the women of your creed into a lower social order? Do you ensure social equality in your mind? Please understand your social responsibilities first, before accepting the social advantage of being merely born into a higher caste. Noone has control over his/her birth, and can make no efforts to ensure being born in any desired caste! Accept fate.The dalits of today, vastly neglected in society have.Allow them the benefits and privileges of a benign Government,since you have never questioned your own Social Order ages back, in your favour.
I think time has come for all FCs to fight for another independence. If government does not see all its citizens equally ,then there is no point staying together. So all FC people start a new freedom fight or migrate to any other country.
At this rate govt will have to resreve seats in underworld and cinema also on proportional basis as most of gangsters and heroes in these lines have more then 90% muslims.
After all other religions and castes also need muscle power and money power which comes through black money in above fields.
