Da vici code and Indian church
by K J Jacob on May 26, 2006 06:31 PM  Permalink

Has CBCI demanded a ban on the film? Reports have it that they wanted an insertion saying the film was a work of fiction. If that is true, Shenoy stands on a shaky wicket.

But this is not something new to Shenoy. He has published more idiotic and stupid ideas earlier too. Once he lambasted the BJP government for not transfering our foreign exchange reserve to Euro. That was a time Euro was just launched, and gaining over dollar. He calculated our "gain" if we had chosen euro. At that point in time no one was sure about the future of the currency. There were even fears of it simply sinking. Govt chose to trust a tsted currency, but Shenoy thought it was foolish. If India had chosen euro, and if it had failed, then he would have been the first to attack a "foolhardy" decision.

Shenoy, please give your readers their due. On their intelligence!

If Mr Shenoy gives so much weightage to the Vatican, what is his take on the Pope's comments on conversion in India ?

RESPECT THE RELIGION
by Hanif Mohammed on May 21, 2006 01:05 PM  Permalink

All religion should be respected - regardless of where, when and by whom - period. Come on, we have seen too much blood spilled in the name of religion all over the world - if a person is allowed to practice and follow his own religion - we can be assured, there is one less terrorist around !! Respect other peoples religion, and find peace within you !!

Mr Shenoy,
your views are logically right. when you ban something it gets blown up to a boggey.
to let people judge the movie will be appropiate, & most of the issues which are fictitous will die a natural death.
