witnesses disappear
by subhashsirur on May 12, 2006 10:28 PM  Permalink

What's so great about it that it deserves a line on rediff. It is so common when the powerful and the mighty are to be brought to book. The witnesses either turn hostile or they disappear.Money, threats of bodily harm or the premature despatch to the world of Gods, are the tools used.Werent the police aware that the witnesses would abscond and the prosecution case would get diluted.Let us end the debate here and now. Those who want to know what is going to happen, you can take it from me that Salman Khan will go scot free for lack of evidence. You wanna bet?

Whats surprising?

This is only to be expected in a spineless cowardly country that we have become. In one place, shahabuddin who is accused of sedition, ie, PLOTTING AGAINST the COUNTRY get VIP treatment; in ohter coubtries he would have been hanged publicly by now;so why should this poor third rate actor be punished? after all he killed only when he was drunk, not sober. we must not be unduly harsh on this emotionally stressed person. even rediff carries reviews and gossip related to this garbage of a human being. Any person having a modicum of deceny and a spark of humanity should avoid this shameless person; but we have a conscience-less media with third rate, attention seeking reporters and reviewers.
