I think Uncle Sam would pay attention to Lord Patton. Kudos to Mr. Patten for writing a candid and blunt truth. Americans know every thing about Musharraf as he is their own puppet but why don't they act is beyond my imaginations.
Pakistani military establishment is the main culprit in promoting Taliban and militancy in India. It has made good rapport with the fundamentalists to achieve their goals of destablising the entire region. So, at this juncture, one can only be hopeful that President Bush will suggest Musharraf to step down voluntarily and make efforts to have a free and fair election in 2007. But, Pakistan has history of military dominance even on elected regimes and everybody knows the fait of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, so it is a long haul to restore a real democracy in Pakistan. Till then the entire region will be burning.
