Then if India has patronised this nudity as a form of matuirity and innocence, can Hussain paint the nude portrait of the Prophet?
I don't wish this as I respect other religions. But one should think before they ink. It's a shame on this old man. The tragic comedy is that he is hiding behind ellora and ajanta.
Can he not make non-nude Hindu God/Goddess paintings and survive ? Do he lack that creative painting art ? Let him make nude paintings, but not of Hindu God/Godess.
He has painted even his female relatives, but their nudity is missing.
When objected by Muslim fundamendalist, he immediately stopped screening of his film, amended and then re-released, removing the objected portion.
He and Salman Rushdie have same mindset - earning by controversy and least regard for peoples feeling.
It is more than a decade he has been politely told to not make such painting but he shamelessly to earn more Crores, keeps on doing this.
But refuses to take similar action on paintings of Hindu God/Goddess and tries to divert attention by preaching us with such articles.
If he had slightest Indian nature, culture, ethos, he would not have persisted shamelessly on his painting.
He is no different than Ravana, who was also skelled, knowledgeable and learned, but used all skills for negative purpose.
If someone has came to know the meaning of the paintings of ajantha, ellora, then that person will become a real monk, he/she will not find a beauty in one particualr person, he/she will start behaving with euality. will not give the ring of crores to some one, will distribute all the proprety to public and will start experiening that presence with self, he/she will become the complete, the purna brahama, the asteya, the nishal, the anant
do not ask the stupid question, whether those artist were treating with equality or what because nobody or someone has not asked to prepare such paintings, this is your own idea, imaginatation.
I would like to request the artist that instead of not waring the shooes or chapple, why start leaving naked itself, for few years, proabbly you will find the better meaning of all the things
Mr. Hussain is saying this because he is living in India, which is country where anybody can say anything or depict anything about Hindu, which reflects so called secularism when you utter something rubbish on hinduism. I dare Mr. Hussain to come out in support of Mr. Rushdie on his controversial book of "Satanic Verses."
