This is probably the most sensible article on this issue in recent years. I think our Prime Minister, who is undoubtedly a dummy, should get a copy of the article and the user comments. He may wish to forward a copy to his bosses(The G family). Its time we see some action and probably stop sending troops to peacekeeping missions in other countries. There are many countries which can and should fill that role because of lack of problems on their home turf.
I agree 100% to Mr.Kaul.Why should we not do the same as US & Europeans do to protect their country.
Just stop this non-sense,so -called, confidence building measure with Pakistan.Stop negotiation on India's J&K but start asking firmly for the POK to be returned to India in a time bound frame else... nothing.Just Attack ,kill them bludy & hold on our left out beloved motherland - we call it POK.
Just attack them after the time limits to the ultimatum finishes(same way as US did with Iraq,Afhanistan & now with Iran)& finish these bastards -- world call them Terrorist but for us they are more than that.
Nothing else will let the solution settle down other than finishing them with our milittary attack & taking back our left our Kashmir. As this is the area where Pakistan is building factory for accelerating Terrorist to takie action in India such as Mass killing,Varansi Blast,Delhi Blast, many more.
Pls start identifying yourself as Indian above all & PM to the nation who has to provide safety to it's citizen & gaurd boundries as the only prime responsibility. Let's the world say what it want to say but you have to perform your duties otherwise PLS MAKE WAY FOR COMPETENT PERSON.
Einstein once said, "Insanity is repeating the same experiment over and over again and expecting a different result." Nothing could be more true in representing the insanity of the Indian government than its repeatedly rewarding every terrorist attack on its soil by providing even further concessions to the terrorists responsible for the attacks. It is high time that our Indian Government and the various peace-nics who seem to be driving its failed actions realize that the Islamic terrorists who carry out these brazen and cold-blooded attacks and killings of Kashmiri Hindus work hand-in-hand with the various Islamic organizations with which our government is presently negotiating the degree of autonomy to be provided for muslims within Kashmir. The Indian government response that such attacks will not derail the 'peace process' are NOT a sign of its strength but rather a shameful sign of its pusillanimity.
I could not agree more with what Mr. Koul had to say in this article.
It is a pity how the politicians do not want to face the reality and do not want to make the tough decisions that they are supposed to make in trying to protect this country. Honestly I did not expect much from this Prime minister; who for the sake of a honorary degree, felt that British colonial rule was beneficial to India!
It hurts to see how the Indian political leaders lack compassion towards their fellow citizens. They do not care as long as it is not one of their family or friends. The last thing a proud citizen of India would want to see after a ghastly massacre of fellow innocent citizens is, a good-for-nothing politically correct speech from the leader of the largest democracy in the world.
I will tell you what it will take Mr. Prime minister: A BRAVE HEART to make the tough decisions.
Well Said! We should not try to negotiate with fools who do not know what peaceful negotiation means. Not only such terrorists but also the naxals and other rebels within India. U.S does it the right way. Punish indiscriminate violence with violence.
I appreciate passion. I also appreciate sincere love towards our country, our people.
But why - why this - "And do you know what was common among these innocent victims? Yes, all these victims of Islamic terrorism were innocent Hindus, who believed in the Indian national flag and Constitution."
What'll it take, Lalit, for us to realize that among us some Mussalmans also believe in the Indian national flag and Constitution?
What'll it take, Lalit, for us to know that some of the so called innocent Hindus are more guilty than anyone else in the mess of terrorism?
I am a lay man. I belive in people. I also believe that people should not die. But i don't believe that a hindu dying is of more importance than a muslim or a christian dying.
Probably i am far from Kashmir and i don't know the realities. I am willing to stand corrected, but correct me with facts, not with sensation.
I salute your passion! And agree with you whole heartedly that our govt is not really taking the right steps to curb terrorism. And we should. All it takes is one wave of retaliation and things would change.
I believe, Hell hath no fury as passion scorned. Our govt proves me wrong, always!!

Well I do appreciate with jay at that stand. There was no need no mention about Hindus there. Had he used 'Indians' instead of 'Hindus', would that have caused any difference? I don't think so..

Aren't the facts and statistics given at the beginning of the article enough to stir your emotions?
It is very clear that the present Govt does not consider Safety and Security of Hindus, as its responsibility.
The Govt is too busy in dishing out Appeasement Plans in the form of Quota/Reservation/Minority etc. to increase its Vote Bank.
Fault lies with the Hindus as they are never united to apply pressure on the Govt on matters pertaining to safety, security and welfare of the Hindus who are being treated as Refugees in their Home Land, who are being slaughtered every day in their own Home Land, etc.
It is a pity that while billions of rupees are being spent to provide Security to corrupt Politicians, billions are being spent on the health care of retired Politicians, the poor peace loving Hindu Citizen has been left to defend himself on the teeth of increasing Terrorist Attacks in Jammu areas.
Why can't Organisations claiming to be Hindu wellwishers, organise Delhi Bandh/ Hunger Strike in front of Rashtrapati Bhawan protesting against the present Govt's failure to protect the lives of its Citizens?
Where are the Pseudo-Secularists raising their voice on Human Rights at the killing of a Terrorist, to write strong Articles on Media criticising the Govt?
If our govt ever had spine this situation would never have arised and we would not found ourselves at the mercy of every country in this world...be it US or Pak or Bangladesh. The only times when our govt showed courage were during the 71 war, when Rajiv Gandhi authorized dropping food supplies over Jafna and during the nuclear tests. But then why blame the govt, after all we've been electing these people again and again or is it that we Indians are too timid and weak to even defend ourselves?
