Killing of Hindus
by Manmadhan Pillai on Jun 12, 2006 03:04 PM  Permalink

Dear Mr kaul, I am of your opinion. But the actions by the Govt is disgusting. I find the government is idifferent whenever, there is a killing by the terrorists. They have blead our country for years. No political party worth the salt has done anything to save our citizens. We did not learn enough from our past wars with the Paikistan. They learn only through the barrel of gun. These peace process are all bakawas. I only wish at some point of time, a flare up may happen, who knows.

Hindu killings in J&K.
by Rakesh on Jun 10, 2006 10:19 AM  Permalink

Dear Mr.Lalit,
I fully agree with you but the thing is that unless we have a united leadership we are not going to be taken seriously by anybody. We, as a community, are too pliant for anyone to take us seriously. Unless we stand up and be heard, we are not going to get anywhere.I am not advocating outright militant posturing but we have to have a strong and united leadership.
We also need to put more people into administrative positions, whether in the state or in the centre. For this we must be prepared to support upcoming youngsters and ensure that we get our due and not let the state govt. get away with its tyranny. The MD/MS Post-graduate medical exams in J&K this year are a case in point. There was so much hanky-panky and chaos yet no body did raise a voice.
This is exactly the point I wish to make.We must stop taking what is dished out to us & instead fight for our due.Unless we do that, killings of hindus won't stop. And appeasement of muslims will continue.

Dr.Rakesh Sadhu.

I share your concern...!
by Ratnesh Sahay on May 30, 2006 12:42 AM  Permalink

Great....I am proud you have said it. Even though, the political leadership of India is a whole lot cowards and I see this not happening even remotely, I feel proud that you have said it. I fully support your concern and the every word that you have said. I appeal to all the citizens of India, please act now. China gave us a lesson besides giving Nehru a lesson in 1962. Pakistan gives us everyday and it will not be long that Bangladesh will start giving us lessons on daily basis. What if we are a strong country and the world doesn't know about it...is it only for ourselves to know.

Ghulam Nabi exactly knows what to speak after every killing or attack as much as any prime minister or home minister will know and we are stupids to take them.

It is time for us to act now...common Dear Indians . Let's put our acts together....

Ratnesh

A request.
by Faiq on May 26, 2006 01:02 PM  Permalink

Please do not refer to the militants as 'Islamic Militants'. They claim to be pro-Islamic yet they lack the basic knowledge of the harmonious religion.
If one member of a family mis-behaves, the entire family is not to be blamed... right?
Usage of the term 'Islamic Militants' sounds tarnishing the image of the entire Islamic society.

Frustrated and losing faith in democracy
by R.K.DIXIT on May 25, 2006 02:29 PM  Permalink

It is strange that no party takes up the issue seriously.BJP,cogress ,Left all are following the same policy of appeasement to Muslims and so I have lost faith in democracy .But alas there isno good alternative.
The Govt is completely spineless.PM talks of human face in Kashmir .What human face ?Terror has got no human face .It can not be handled with kid glove.Only God has saved India ,Politicians are leaving no stone unturned to hand over India --KASHMIR to Pak .

Are you kidding!!!
by Praveenjothi on May 17, 2006 05:56 PM  Permalink

I completely agree with your assessment. Any government with its back bone as strong as the US or Israel would do exactly this. But, would India do it? Oh come on!!! Lets face the reality. A Muslim or Christian blood is more precious because their votes are more critical in deciding who wins the election. But, a Hindu vote bank? Are u kidding! There are Nadars, Yadavs, Gounders, Mudaliars and I am sorry did you mention about what caste these Hindus killed in Kashmir are!!! Well if you are talking about minorities in India and especially the minorities those are collectively called Hindus, be specific please, so that the account holders of this caste account can take note of it. Well, even the BJP; the proclaimed guardians have never been so strong and clear in their policy, and you are expecting this from a Sikh PM with a Christian head who are enjoying the caste politics in the name of reservation. You must be dreaming!!!

If someone is going to take this as a fundamentalist view, I beg your pardon. I am talking about blood here and further I am talking about why this loss of blood is not really cared for. If this is fundamentalist then, yes I am. What makes me still wonder is, w

stop all links/dialogues w Pak.
by sp.al.meyyappan on May 17, 2006 03:44 PM  Permalink

I fully support this article. Pak is actually winning in the proxy war. It wants to cut India piece by piece thru terrorism, & at the same time make a show that it is willing to make peace, and wants India to counter the peace gesture. India is being fooled around to talk for peace w Pak. Meanwhile, silently, many hundreds of hindus are dying in the hands of Paki insurgents. I fear, in 50 year, India will be Islamic, totally. It would cease to be a democracy, and would follow the Pak/Bangla way. Islamic militancy and Naxal violence are silently growing larger and larger. The real issues are these (& of course population growth, and the related issues like unemployment, hunger, poverty). Not the Sensex falling or winning of an election. Which ever party comes to power in the next few decades, they have to face these issues. We need strong leaders, who can say face to face to Pak "You are a liar. I don't have anything to do with you!". The non-muslim population of J&K must be brought back to that state. (hindu pandits have almost disappeared from the demography of J&K; they are refugees within their own country). I even recommend annexing Pak & adding it as a state to India. JaiHind!

J&K

" When some one attacks America we don't come back proportional response.. we come back with absolute disaster." Martin sheen said this as the President of america in Wets wing
It is the perfect guiding force to the Kashmir problem. I agree with the writer that it is high time we told Pakistan to go to hell. {Not that it needs to go very far. It is right there in Karachi or Lahore}
But what we also need to propogate is that protecting a majority community against anythign doesn't not automatically brand the action as communal.
And while we are at it can we please tell the Congress to go to hell as well for it misplaced faith in the Pakistan military cum administration

Why is India not reacting and taking steps for stopping these killings
by bsnmin on May 16, 2006 01:16 PM  Permalink

Sir,

This refers to the unabated killings of innocent Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir. The design of the islamic militants is to finally eliminate Hindus in that state and declare that Jammu and Kashmir is a theocratic- fully islamic state. Does government of India wants to keep quite, when all this is happening and what is it doing? The reason, govt is not able to do any thing is that present residents of Jammu and Kashmir (other than the Hindu community) are not co-operating with the military for effectively controlling the islamic fundamentalists there. Government cannot anyway stop this massicare. Then why they do not remove the restrictions on settlements of Indians from other states in Jammu and Kashmir? If that happens, Hindu population in J & K get replanished and military will be able to check islamic fundamentalists effectively.
