Zhang Danhong, vice director of Deutsche Welle's China Department has been suspended due to her "pro-communist" stance. This is the "press freedom" that German media has advocated. Nothing but hypocritical.
According to German media reports, Zhang said the Chinese Communist Party "has done more than any other political forces in the world" in realizing the human rights declaration. Prior to this, she said in a talk show in German TV that the Communist Party "has done a lot to preserve the Tibetan culture", and criticized Angela Merkel's stance which had put Germany-China relations in a deadlock. Under the pressure of politicians, Deutsche Welle has decided to suspend Zhang.
