Arvind, You have a missed a BASIC point. That Vajyapyee and Advani lacks credibility with party cadre and hindutva supporters. These leaders will not be able to enthuse party workers and supporters.
Right now BJP is obsessed with 'Soniacentric' mind set, whatever be the issue, they start thinking in terms of Sonia and end up with her only.
For a change they should take up the issues, which are going to be major challenges for the huge population of India like environment and ecosystem balance, population expolsion , infrastructural problems, social superstitions etc.
The BJP is fast becoming a party with pomp and show and middle men choice.Presently, it has become party of opportunistic and hypocrite elements. Its leader leads a lifestyle with extravaganza, fleets of cars, five star vacations abroad by kith and kins in etc. have become a way of life. The leader must practices simple living and high thinking in personal life.
Excellent article, Arvind. I wish, your views are heard and acted upon by Rajnath. YOu should make an effort to tell your views to Sudarshn ji and Rajnath ji. Please keep on wrting like this. I find your views so practical and stratight to the point. I really enjoys reading your articles.
It is a very well thoughtout and well written article. May I suggest that the Think Tank and image make-over persons of BJP also rename some of the slogans like "Hindutva" or "Hinduism" to something like "Hindustanism".And clearly align it with the very pertinent slogan of "Justice for all and appeasement to none".
It is a well thought out advice. The BJP has to get itself refined from the other type of politics and politicians so that even the minority welfare also is taken at par with other welfare measures. India need a new mindset of politicians who think of welfare of the entire Indian Society.
