MiG crash
by Pavan Samudrala on Mar 21, 2006 06:20 PM  Permalink

Does the MiG planes have technical flaws? This has been a ceremony since BJP government and is continuing at the expense of lifes of pilots. Government should take this matter seriously. Statistics would be of great help saying the number of crashes and the reasons if possible.

Rang De Basanti fails to enlighten
by Sumit on Mar 21, 2006 06:19 PM  Permalink

Everybody said: \"The movie was good\" ..

\"Quite inspirational\". MiGs keep crashing. \"Parts are good quality\" - says airforce. \"Human error\". Wonder why it doesnt happen with other aircrafts. Wonder how will they save us if the enemy does not have to shoot them down !!

Why Govt. want to test people ?
by Mohit on Mar 21, 2006 06:11 PM  Permalink

Crashing MIGs is almost like a monthly news for Indian People. It seems like defence ministry is taking people security as a fun for them. Do they want people to show them Rang De Basanti in LIVE ? Or what else they want from them ? Why they are behaving in a senseless manner ?

One of the most intriguing thing I have encountered in my life is the non-stop number of MIG crashes in India. In the last few years there have been more than 100 MIG crashes, most of which have led to the pilot's death also. The pathetic aspect of all this incident is the Indian Government has not been able to provide any strong reasons for these crashes, instead they have trying to cover these important issues by not talking about it to the media and banning movies like Rnag De Basanti that talk about these issues. I think for the increasing the transparency in the politics, the politicians should try to find the actual reasons of these crashes and prevent them from happening again in the future, otherwise numerous pilots will lose their lives because of the carelessness of some politicians.
