ideal character
by Jsrao on Mar 18, 2006 08:10 AM  Permalink

Nobody can be ideal, everybody got his own backlashes. The person who has blameless character which can be followed by anybody and get goodness only, will be the ideal. Infact nobody on earth is a character whom we can follow and get the goodness only. I can suggest to be like Jesus Christ whose character can generate love only without a flaw of evil. So Jesus is the only person who is ideal. Of course from all the other people we can take good leaving evil, from some one we can take more good and from some other it may be less.

Saurav,Dravid can't be ideals
by Dr.Saurav Sarawgi on Mar 18, 2006 08:09 AM  Permalink

Dear sir,

I has been a fan of BJP.

But this statement came as a big blow.

They(Dravid) have devoted their whole life, made big sacrifice with their personal life, tried to give 100% of what they can to keep the name of our country HIGH.

I have no hesitation to say that they can be equated with any freedom fighter.

Game has always been proved to be a source of inspiration, and is very strongly assosiated with sentiments of crores of people of our country.

This statement is really a scrape.

Saurav.

oh..come on..
by J on Mar 18, 2006 08:06 AM  Permalink

the deeds of freedom fighters were extremely noble and selfless and as a result, they are immortalized.

though heroes are seldom forgotten, every generation demands new heros/icons for everyone to look up to.

with changing times, it is impossible to relate to what was done in the past. the youth have grown up in different circumstances and their perspective is naturally different.

i do not know about film stars, but what is wrong in drawing inspiration from cricketers? people like dravid stand for values like perseverance, team spirit , leadership and patience. they hold good in any generation.

if a simple game can rally the support of a whole nation even for a brief moment, i don't think it can be shunned as mere entertainment.

and what exactly are the "limits of ambition"? as long as your goals and means are honorable, there should be know ceiling-reach for the stars!

Now this is the language of a true leader and proper view points for the youth to follow. No mention of secular-unsecular policies but pure nationalistic approach.Thats exactly what we as a nation need.To identify our own strength and live to take pride in those. Infosys, TCS, Mother Teresa, APJ Abdul Kalam and many more are available as role models. All we need is look inside. It is known that grass is greener on the other side of the fence but believe Shri Rajnath Singh our own grass is very green.Vande Mataram. Parminder Singh.

And what about the politicians?
by S on Mar 18, 2006 06:58 AM  Permalink

Indian politicians, in general, do not deserve to even comment about greats in their respective professions. Hope the leechers keep their greedy mouths shut and continue doing what they are best at - sucking the nation\'s blood.

Cricket
by GSViswanathan on Mar 18, 2006 06:16 AM  Permalink

Dear Sir,

" While ambition is justified,it should not cross the limits". Very correct and also it is correct that the present generation is more powerful in their cinema knowledge than in any other field. It has already started forgetting the past freedom fighters who has done so much and which should have been inscribed on Gold Mountains and not rock mountains.

They are no less than God as we are now seeing the present world only because of them.

I congratulate our Indian captain on his 100th appearance in test cricket and wish him many more success in his endavours.

I only prey that politics shall not encroach into the sports of any field and should it occur than we can stop all sports and play the game of politics between teams in the open arena which the public can watch as it is done in the cricket field. The game of politics may continue for months and not five days as the game continue for ever.

You are absolutely wrong.
by Mahesh on Mar 18, 2006 04:23 AM  Permalink

Hi Ramnath,

The Cricketers are the real heros who really prove the country's caliber in the game.
We have to learn the patience, dedication, sincearity and individuality from Dravid.
He's really an ideal for us people when we are on the ground.
Here in our country, the politicians are ready to point the upcomming personalities but don't prove their caliber in any manner.
Please don't put on your statements and discourage us to forget such big personalities.

Regards,
Mahesh.
