I live in Pakistan. In 1857 like other parts of India my tribe living in Murree, District Rawalpindi in Punjab, took part in the war. After the end of the war some people from my tribe were shot dead and others were sent to Kalapani I am unable to find the official records in thie regard. I will be greatful if anybody is able to help me in locating the officials records. I would like to get the information as soon as possible so that the 150th anniversary of the event is celebrated.
Regards
Please send me any information at margallite@gmail.com

Like Raja Mahabali of our Hindu Puranas, Port Blair Cellular jail also became like an ornament to us, because our very many forefathers who fought for our freedom were jailed in this Cellular jail.

May this go towards the feet of those freedom fighters of us and the forthcoming generation may also remember this event.
