The threat from the ISI-Chinese-backed Maoists terrorists are grave not only for Nepal but for India as well, which already has communist insurgencies in the majority of her states. King Gyanedra must be made to realize that it's in his country's best interests to restore true democracy, and that with Indian, US and EU economic and military aid he can move Nepal forward into becoming a prosperous, pluralistic democracy. India is well placed to use her best diplomatic efforts to nudge the King into doing the right thing for his country.
