Terror and politics.
by Gyan Dutt Pandey on Mar 08, 2006 03:43 PM  Permalink

The point is not that terrorism is politicised. Politics itself is dirty in India. You stop running after votes on the basis of a section being muslim, and you solve much of the problem.Osama Bin Laden is a lesser problem. Bigger problem is politics of Mulayam/Lalu/Paswan/Arjun Singh etc.

politicians are encouraging terrorists.
by anand pareek on Mar 08, 2006 03:37 PM  Permalink

looking at the conclusions of the Benargee commission &to the greed of politicians to enhence their vote banks,
no wonder another commission will prove that there was no bomb blast in Varanasi but it was only an accidental pressure cooker bursting .
shri Raman's article is really mind shaking but in my opinion , when opposition says that Govt's policies are the cause of such attacks, to some extent they are correct.

attack on varanasi
by Vishesh on Mar 08, 2006 03:16 PM  Permalink

Can anyone answer why only hindu temples are targetted frequentely - even in India and outside, which make news for few days and then forgotten???

Are Hindus are soft targets for all sort of terrorists and why only Hindus are supposed to be tolerant in any situation. Anyone who speaks for Hindu is stamped to be RSS/BJP people and his voice discounted?????

Do any of the pseudo secularists have any answer?

No use of just advice
by Purushottam Dayama on Mar 08, 2006 02:58 PM  Permalink

Every time such incidents happen all sages just advise to keep restraint but it is for benifit of
the terrorists only.
Nobody (Muslims+Hindus+other sects)come forward and help to give clues evenif they know that something fishy is going on.Unless the "minority"
comes forward to help nab such criminals without much
exhortion, everybody would want to keep mum even if not benifitted directly. So far there has been no action on people who harboured the terrorists of Delhi blasts and UPA govt. being so soft as well as
UP govt. so "Mulayam" for them there is no chance
of outcome. may be here & there some alleged person
will be shot and matters cooled but unless police feel heat of peoples' ire there won't be any use of
advice!

Political Will
by Indian on Mar 08, 2006 02:41 PM  Permalink

Hi,

Do you think that any of the political parties have the slightest inclination to do what you have said.

As our leaders they have to have the courage to stand up & act, but none of them have the will to do it.

Cheers

I disagree with your view
by MAYHEM on Mar 08, 2006 02:30 PM  Permalink

hi rediff writer,
I disagree with your view that politcising of any "terrorist" attack like explosion, kidapping etc which is prevalent in india will help terrorist. The meaning that i interpeted for word "politicsing" means when a politican express their view regarding "terrorist" attack .NOT politicsing means when non-politican expresses their view on terrorist attack.

Terrorist attacks to gather attention and to check the status of their demand. When politician express his views and relates his party objective to the attack then he again realise the dumb people of republic of india as to how to vote and whom to vote. I dont think that is wrong. In fact he helps people to realise the meaning of voting and thus help them to elect a govenrmnt which can stop terrorist from terrorizing.

regards
Mr May Hem
