It's a tough one, for sure. I'm analysing this in broader terms and in terms of the present and future. Yes, indeed the LTTE assassinated one of our most well loved PMs, Mr. Rajeev Gandhi. It's not a wound which can be healed through compensation or time. But...
We also need to look at ourselves in a regional and global perspective. How can we develop if we are having a volatile neighbourhood in South Asia? We already have volatility in our North Western and North Eastern borders. Can we afford more volatility in the Southern border as well? We cannot engage in global growth when our own back-yard is volatile.
Seriously, this is one thing we need to think about. It's a tough one, that's for sure, though...
We should forget the incident. Fisrt of all Mr.Balasingam has not confessed at all to the responsibility of that assasination. This is mere a calculated, mischevious media plot in collbaration with indian intelligence agency RAW. Just confusing the mass and to take advantage out of it. Secondly the so called hunam right rising groups and other socalled patriots are not at all bothered about the fact it was the Indian army that killed 6000 innocent tamils, raped so many tamil girls and caused immense damage to soul amd limbs of tamil people. Who will punish indian armay?Who on behalf on indian army will apologise to tamil people?Under which court, which law the indian army thugs will prosecuted? If all these become a reality then the tamils can be expected by these so called (really anti tamil) indian patriotists to apologise or what ever it is. As a tamil with an ioto of self respect I AM LEAST BOTHERED ABOUT RAJIV AND HIS MERCINARIES,AGENTS ETC,ETC....... REGDS S.K.SUNDARAM
