I am an Indian and belive me, i give my 100% support to ur views. It is the same sentiments i feel whnevr i cum to india during my vacations. Including a few others too which you havnt mentioned.
Now whenevr sumone says "India is developing". I wonder whn it will be a developed nation, i mean they hav been trying for past like 50 yrs and it is still developing. I can only silently smile at the joke in the sentence.

my dear ,whats your contribution for the development of india , casting vote ?, or watching cricket at home? , its a collective responsibility , notonly on the govt or any machinery. So be an optimist and work for nations development
Hi All, I think the author has commented very fairly. Why are we Indians so sensitive about criticism? why do we have to reciprocate in a like manner, even if admittedly some other foreign tourist spots also charge differently? There is great merit and nothing new in what the author has stated, maybe the list could be expended to 99 points and not only 10!! Come on let us not raise a hue n cry just because a Gora has stated all this. After 30 years he may be more of a native than many of us!! I would like to Congratulate the author for his very fair comments.Shabash n keep it Up!!
The author is 100% rite. These definitely are problems that are persistent, actually rampant in India. What is the necessity to bother about other countries?? It makes no difference to us how they live. Recognising these problems and trying to rectify it would make the country even more a wonderful place to live in. We do have our strong points such as cultural closeness etc. But then there is no harm in adopting the things thats has made countries like USA better. Better facilities, amenities, a more streamlined regulations and most important of all the white skin discrimination will go a far longer way in rapidly improving the constant feel good factor about India.
Correcting starts from accept that there is something wrong. Until the point we turn a blind eye to all these nothing can be done to improve the living standards.
To whom so ever it may concern.. but the author of the article 10 Things I hate about India should concentrate on two basic things such as Corruption, Population, thatz it, the Maps of the Area, regularation of the power supply, History related documents every thing can be achived once we have a good politics who takes care of the welfare and developement of the country by preaching the greatness and importance of itz culture and land. This can be achived once the corruption is out of the indian politics, which inturn flourishs the country and the remaining 8 points can be covered included control on the population within no time.
Everybody is discussing about entry fees to monuments. Think about the indian or any foreigners working in US for few years only. He is not going to stay there to have retirement benifits. But still they have to pay SSN tax. Do you know how much tat SSN tax is ? If not aware just read this amount. If an indiavidual earning USD 5000 per month he has to pay USD 650 !!!!!!!! + other taxes.
Looks like author knows only two countries India and America. Its ideal time for author to stay in some other developing country and then put views comparitively and rewrite the 10 points. Those 10 points exists in all developing countries. One cannot compare developing country with developed. Author can revist these 10 points after 20 yrs and will find most of them are not exists any more. I Love India, The Land for Everything and Everybody!

You know what we should do?! We should stop wasting our time arguing with each other and filling up 50 pages of a message board with inane rubbish - most of it grammatically incoherent.
And you know what? That's exactly what I did! Added one more turd to the sea of bullshit around me!
