Claude ..it was nice to see your message about india and let me tell u u have seen it right !But the reason that u have seen the west and now you have settled in the east is proof enough for you to know what is good and wat is bad ..India is growing but there as said in a nice article " Indian people are polite till it hurts".I can understand the quote i made coz i am presently in the U.S. and I realise more what a citizen of india will of whats wrong in India. In India u will get loads of love from people whom u have known a couple of days and thats what u will not see in the west ...correct me if I am wrong but Indians are not aggressive to DEMAND as it goes aganst its culture(not a yes/no thing) I could not agree more to what u have stated and the best line ..."Even if it does not change anything, at least some of my frustrations will be released while penning them down"...I can see u liking India but the western consciousness speaking out !! This is the Journey of life and in time to come u will see Money ruling lives of Indians and u might see a change of Indians being demanding and the west due to influence of easterns being more warm and caring.santa_wadekar@yahoo.com
I agree with the author. While some of points are the real problems India is facing, some of them can be corrected by a change in attitude. Points (3), (5) and (6) can be solved atonce, if the Govt. want to do so. Discrimination against tourists and neglect for environment are the most important points and need to be addressed by creating social awareness.
Well said .These are our favourite hates too ! It is hard to digest but it is the naked truth. Lets take it in the right spirit and try to do something about it.
I sincerely agree with you. I love my country but i wish that i could change the same 10 things you have mentioned. I am sure everyone believes and knows how incredible India is but it is because of these (10 points)drawbacks that our country is not being recognised. Dear Indians its up to us to make ourselves recognised...be proud to be an Indian ...and i mean not just by saying but do it......
Its a nice effort to point out the dark shades of INDIA. It would have been much better if the author had commented on corruption. Now corruption runs into blood of more than 90 percent indians and invading others like cancer. We need to be morally uplifted if we want to eradicate this disorder.
Writer is correcctly describing the so called problems. I fully agree. We also need to discuss and implement the ways to get rid of these problems. We should discuss solutions. Many residing in nation do not consider whether these are problems (due to lack of exposure to outside world). We need to put smart, advanced and mordern ways to discuss the SOLUTIONs.. Like in one such attempt by Mah. Govt. has passed a resolution that Govt files on Babus table be cleared in a month-I am not sure if passing such rule will be 100% effective --- OR !!!? MANY more need to disuss
I stand right behind this human. but, at the same time, rome wasn't built in a day. This article outlines very important issues affecting THE INDIAN PEOPLE today. If the government isn't moving, WE MUST. And we are.
The above stated must be looked into. As much as every Indian prides themselves as being one of the few in the world to boast MORAL values... we're nowhere near. (Anyone read about Mumbai being the rudest city on here?)
.. yea, implement the moral values everywhere not just to whom you choose. There is no difference otherwise.
Well, what else can you expect from the government which has ruled for 50 years and still is shameless enough to find out that more number of people are under poverty line than were before? There is 1) a "National Treasure" called Sonia Gandhi who runs the country as if she is a queen here (and Congress follows her like a dog 2) An IMPOTENT, meek and pathetic prime minister who is a dog in front of that National Treasure 3) Council of Ministers where everybody wants to become prime minister and 4) The pathetic people who elect them. What else can you expect from these filthy dogs?

Look whatever you feel abt the UPA government, however strong your views, keep them to yourself. I may share your views but I am not about to give them to a foreigner as a handle to beat us with. For me, my prime minister is supreme, my President is supreme, whoever it mat be. If my brother Indians vioted for Sonia Gandhi then for me she is the leader. I am not licking the ass of any foreigner and agreeing with him when he criticises my country, whatever my views. When I talk to foreigners, for me Narendra Modi, Sonia Gandhi, Vajpayee, Prakash Karat, K C Sudarshan all are fellow Indians, God bless them
I would strongly agree with the Traffic situation. I think more than the Gods protecting their people, it is a team effort. Driver on both sides know what they have to do when they zip by each other!
The best part about driving in India is having speed breakers to avoid high speeds.
