Rest of the 9 are fine and more valid points that most of us dont like, but the point 4 which you say "Discrimination against the white tourist".
I dont see something wrong in it ?
I would relate this one to education fee what they charge on India or Foreign students or may Asian.
Please kindly checkup with do they charge the same amount from us what they will do with white ? No never check out.
Ok leave out the Tution fee ( we pay coz we are using the infrastructure fine) ... but what about the accomdations they charge 80EUROS more then any other white ? I am taking out my personal experience out of Germany.
Dear friend, Please kindly dont be too sensitive to the issues like this, have you ever asked any white what is the image they have about India ? they say india is poor country !No food ?.
I just wonder what else left after mentioning these ten critical problems India is having. These ten problems suffice every reasons for an NRI to not make his mind to return to his country. Alas if anyone can clealy suggest positive things apart from these problems!!
Hi, First thing which i dont agree with is Accessing the historical documents. First of all why it should be open to all. They are our history and has be preserved well.
Second thing is white people being charged more. Wherever u go,if u r a outsider u would be charged more especially if its a turist place... its has nothing to do with being white or black, only thing is if u r a white u make sure that u r a outsider....
Nice article. But I feel you should have touched on the reasons for this as well. For all the 10 points you mentioned the reason is corruption. I think you should put that as the first point. Also, I think you would have got a few more important points, some of them like Caste based reservations, Secularism where in the politicians does'nt know the defination of it, minoritism....
Thanks to the writer. He has masterly penned 10 shortcomings about India. I wish to add somethings. (1) About powercut, it is a daily affairs in all metros and capital cities and other towns in India. If anyone can say that he has not experienced any powercut in his mohalla(except people living in special zone), I am ready to shed my Ph.D degree. I am personally witnessing this since 1970. Is 35 years a less period to ensure 24*7 power supply. The power generation and distribution authorities must be fined heavily for such laxity. The capital of Delhi is also no exception--where we wish to have 2010 Commonwealth Games. (2) All other 9 points are well written. In particular, fleecing of Foreign Tourists in routine manner, the most casual attitude of BABUS with public dealings (even if Right to Information Bill is there),and about Politicians ( must have an status of FREE FOR EVERYTHING IN INDIA)& rampant corruption in every sector. The author has missed one very important point. The Indian Tax net. With celebrity finance minister in the helm of affairs, the Indian middle class are daily gaining new knowledge on TAX & SERVICE TAX.
