All those who says that every thing about India is great and RIGHT I am sure HAVE NOT gone to a court room on a case or to a Police Station to give a complaint or to a Government office to get some things done.
We have to accept the fact and do our bit to make our country better. At present I can only think that India is a heaven for people who are criminals/corrupt/cheaters and want to misuse the system. The entere system is made up for these people. There is little space for those innocent citizens who wants to lead a TRUTH ful life in their own country and work for its upliftment. The general public without any so called "influence" or MONEY to pay feels "FORIEGN" in their own COUNTRY of birth.
Yes, this is a good summary. of course there are a few more things to be added.
1. no one follows a queue 2. people interrupt when others are speaking 3. people spit on road 4. people relieve themselves on road.. 5. people spend too much money building temples and not libraries or rest rooms 6. the bus transportation is horrible to say the least..see the way people are thrown in like pigs in places like chennai or calcutta
I absolutely agree with the points moreover I would like to make some additional views the view which many of us have forgotton to state ! the problem of population how many of us are really thinking about of population growth no one can imagine that INDIA is sitting on time bomb which will explode any moment.so many quotas whether for sc or sts or obcs where INDIA is heading towards. so sad to say that we all are helpless just looking at each others face.
I red the article 10 things I hate about India. The topics are good to mention, but I don't understnad why these people starts hating India immediately after returning a short trip to foreign.
These are the people who takes their pets outside and make the place dirty. At this time they don't remember the foregin peoples act.
These are the people who pays money to local transporters without looking at the legal fare rates. This makes trouble to local people, as the transporter starts taking money from everybody.
These are the people who go to foreign, but purchase everything from a pen and undergarments to grocery from India.
These are the people who give huge money to temples for saving their taxes and claim that they have donated the money.
And last, seating in a garden with a cup of tea in hand, watching a program on Plasma TV, and travelling in an AC car, it is easy to say that I hate so and so. But I have to tell these people that if you really feel something, then come out and do something for our society, instead of just criticizing everything. In India, they are not 10 but unlimited good things which are uncomparable in the whole world.
I entirely agree with this list. In fact I could add a few more. The Indians are totally insensitive to others and do not -- in general-- have any feeling for the community in which they live. Exceptions prove this rule. It is this quality that make Indians bad drivers on the road, break queues, talk loudly,rude to others, talk in their own vernacular even though there are others who dont speak/understand the language. The highlight of the list of 10, is babus/beaureucrats and corruption among politicians . Despite all this, t0urists like India!
As true Indian, I will accept all those 10 things which is said by the author.
Every Indian, has dreams to make India better and remove all those 10 things. It is not to be blamed on somebody rather every Indian is to be blamed. We know that and we will surely do things to make India look better.
