They are all Common Man Concerns, One thing I can say we are not that people to learn and implement Culture from Western. You see the economic situation of any Developed Country and the people, they have no plans for saving .. etc., Please don't mistaken me and avoid giving the Subject Title and explore common problems. Try to find out a solution like a small drop in a ocean which will welfare and educate the common man in Positive way.

Let's accept that fact that our country is great for the simple reason that "its our country". We have cheap medication but our doctors are paid so less that it takes a struggle to make both ends meet. We have cops who are maintaining the law and order and the oridinary citizen is afraid of approaching them. You cant even file an FIR, they just refuse. We have politicians who never fulfil the promises, rig the polling booths to win elections. Unfortunately, if i decide to abstain from voting to demonstrate that i cant see any political party who is worth my vote, there will someone out there who will be casting my vote. We have open drains and dug roads (atleast some places have roads). Not to mention, traffic sucks. Why blame just the citizens, we all are in a hurry to reach our offices and homes but the infrastructure is so poor that i may work only if you get back to 70's. Moreover, people with power can get away with anything and everything?? Ever heard of recent drug case of rich and powerful? Income Tax is for poor people, Honest people are exploited to max limits. Love your country but dont be blind, its we who can make a difference,all we need is to change ourselves
i 100% agree with the remarks and point raised in this article. I wish to add two more points - 1. caste based policies of indian govt. is dividing the indian society. 2. politicians are making joke of indian democracy for their personal benefits
I agree with you although most Indians might not. I could double your list. What to do, we are a devloping and money does not come by easy, and so corruption prevails everywhere, from A to Z, you name it.
I hope my dear friends reading your 10 points realize how backwards we are. The discrimination to foreign visitors is really unnecessary. On my travel to different countries, I have never really seen anything like that. We are treated equal. Why is it only in India? I do not know.
Anyway, India is my country and I am proud of its rich and varied heritage.
hi there I have been living in germany for close to 1 yr and I think that its noty just india , but every country in this world which has problems. the question is not of being right and pointing out all the time as to what is short and crib about it , the point is what have we done about it all that we do is just type and leave stupid responses and then forget the matter. I have tried as well to make my country better when I was there, but what I found surprising was that no one was ready to "pitch in" w/o any selfish motive and then we say that we want this country to be great.

My unfortunate writer friend is forgetting that he is also a part of india and contributing to the 10 things that he hates. He is equally responsible for all the things he has mentioned. So he shud rewrite his title as "10 things i hate about myself" . Theres no use basically writing an article with an attractive heading, if you don actually work to solve problems, and only pen them down. I would not have replied to a message ever, coz i don hav so much time... i just wanted to c the news update bout mumbai riots, but this article made me seriously giv a reply so that people don write such foolish useless messages
