high fares are not only for white man but its for every tourist who is coming from abroad wheather he is american or african he has to pay equal amount. poeple like you saves tax and never think about the money which is spend on maintenence of such monuments. money which is collected is spend on development and maintenence of such monuments. so please dont put your fault on the system .
Yes I agree that this country has many defects. But that is not the reason to hate it. If you closely observe, you may find many more reasonas to hate any other country. But one should have the broad mind to love his country inspite of its warts and defects.
yes ,i agree with some of your points but some i still don't agree: 1.I think it's ok to cut off power during stroms etc. can not really say about New orleans but common sense says ,PLAY SAFE...but yes i would say due to too much of power thefts ,it is a big problme in India. 2.In your story ,WHEN the permission SPECIFICALLY mention that cameras with stand were not allowed why would some one use it ,one shud use his brain. 3.If MONALISA from 15th Century can not be allowed to clicked pic DUE TO SECURITY reasons ,i think Most of the indian art pcs and places ,have more need of security thus it's OK to not allow photograph it. 4.why do you quote only TAJ why not all other monuments..Let me know how much they charge for Effiel Tower in Paris ,and compare it in Indian Rupees.I think indians have fantastic access to their own history, that is why most of the monuments are allowed for indians in mere 15 rs or even free. But end of the one has to understand that monuments also need maintainance cost,So to keep balance ASI has to do it. 5.Maps you are talking about(TAWANG) is an ultra sensitive area,FYI GOOGLE EARTH has no satellite mapping of Most of India as per my knowledge.
In many towns where there is not too much traffic, there are crossing zones for people on foot. Even though there are not many traffic lights, the cars have to stop when somebody is crossing these zones. I can imagine what would have happened if this happened to be in india. You would have so many people being killed in India.
Yes, Indians are the most finicky about personal hygiene but when it comes to the environment around them, they aren't concerned at all. But you would have to attribute to this our Govt too. Where would you see trash bins in india located 10 m apart from each other. Probably, hotels or shopping malls. I am sure we cant do much about what is happening in India but we sure can promise to ourselves that we would never throw the half eaten potato chips bag or burger wrapper on our roads.
whatever has been metioned in the article is true, and i agree to it . but as far as fares for visiting monumental visits are concerned, i differ from the author
