I feel, people in India never understood the true meaning of 'freedom'. We need to realize that what we got on 15th August 1947 was Country's Freedom and not people's freedom. In fact on that we took the responsibility of the country into our hands. But we mistook that freedom to be our individual's freedom. As a result people at large over the years developed a habit of doing what ever they want without thinking whether it is going to be good or bad for the country. But I am an optimist. A lot of realization has been taking place amongst all Indians in recent times. We must not try to compare this country with America all the time so far development is concerned. Remember America has aquired 127 years of more experience of independence than us. Things will definitely improve in India. And for that we all need to contribute our ideas and actions to this great country of ours. Friends, please remember, today more than 100000 super Indian brains are working for America after getting their education in India. In the process they are contributing to America's progress. And let us realize that India suffers from such reality as well. Jahnu Barua
Its very simple to count things.But to support such a huge population of India can not bear to have free electricity and other stuff.Couple of things mentioned are correct and those needs improvement.

1 billion people with different religions, different languages, different cultures, different foods, diffrent dresses, different thinkings live in small land of the world with happiness. But Most of the developed countries have one religion, one language, one culture, one food, one dress and one thinking.
I don't know from where you are my dear friend, but i would like to say one thing, it is very easy to show where the mud and shit is, but its very hard to clean it. If you really think because of this things india is lacking, then go to india try to some good things. It is very easy to show other their mistake, but it is very hard rectify it. I think you don't know, even after all things problems India is still growing day by day ( every year GDP is Increasing by 9%). Isn't it amazing?
