With the highest regards to Sarvashri Atal ji, it is a fact which prominent leaders of BJP are living in very affluent lifestyle. Gone are the days when the people respected the Jansangh / BJP leaders for their simplicity and realistic approach. BJP reflects wealth,wayward approach whether they are dealing with Naxalites or with Aamir(Fanna). Where are the positive thinktanks, where is the collective leadership gone.?? BJP means and includes Vajpayee also. Why he is thinking himself above & different from BJP. Really speaking BJP has long back lost all moral values , they shouted for pretty long time. All of them are hypocrats, dictators, breakers of indian constitution, amoral, selfish, anti-national, coward and shedding crocodile tears. Rahul beta didn't became drunker taking narcotics in one day. The wealth amassed by his socalled uncomparable father, had its evil effects. They had shown to us what is BJP Sanskriti. All BJP leaders like Advani, Modi & Sushma are not Hindu Sanskriti, they represent Vikruti. Vajapyee surprisingly has made society responsible for Rahul's present state. Whether His Ex-father, family, BJP & Sangh family doesnit form part of the society or what. Thanks God, God has saved Rajyasabha from entry of such a third rate youth leader of BJP.

What Vajapayee had said is his greatness. It is true that Rahul is booked but not only he but all those who are even convicted have a chance to reform and that should be. The commentators on Vajpayee should note that he was how much calm when his own grandson was thrown to ground from rail (by a sepoy) when that child was saving some other girl from molestation! And hence, Vajpayeeâs version be taken as of his elderly and human advice not as per law. Those who make Vajpayee as an scapegoat of Godhara should know that the mobâs psychology is difficult to understand and it was not first incident in free India- rather India was freed with such mayhem of partition for which Congress was responsible or Muslim League or both- History should decide.
Internal bickering in BJP- this should adhere to its ideology and Five Star Culture does not suit its workers and hence dissension from party which need to address to the ideology of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, etc.
its good to see mr vajpayee understands that "mistakes are done in young age " why mr vajpayee never said any thing for other young lads who are not from such rich families like mahajans mr vajpayee you are just concerned about mr mahajan coz he is son of your "Laxman" but overall i think as leader we cannot trust your statments which keep on changing
Although, one sympathizes with the Mahajan family for the untimely and tragic death of Mr. Pramod Mahajan, however the actions of his son and his ex-PA cannot be overlooked. How on earth is Mr. Vajpayee calling for an introspection in the BJP due to the actions of Mr. Pramod Mahajan's son is confusing. Does Mr. Vajpayee mean to say that the actions of Mr. Mahajan's son are so common in the BJP that the time has come for an instrospection? It is better Mr. Vajpayee stays in retirment, for the more he opens his mouth these days, the more absurd he sounds. Bconium
I am definitely very young compared to Shri Vajpayee. He is one person we youth can listen to. They come from the mouth of the experienced individual. The danger of bad company cannot be stressed enough. We are happy finally we can look up to an icon who can speak on it for us.
Vajpayee should always remain grateful that he was made the PM of India, albeit through a lot of political wranglings, propaganda, arm-twisting etc.That was a freak accident,really, for this country. Pompous talk, especially in Lucknow Hindi, did carry him for a while, but his shallowness soon surfaced. Shallowness in various fields - his deep-set communalism (ref.Godhra),his greed for power(ref.favouring Chandrababu Naidu of TDP at the cost of the entire nation),and so many othr such things. Now, he is talking of "mistakes" of Rahul Mahajan.Can a one-time PM call every crime/offence as per the Indian Penal Code and other laws a simple "mistake"? It is he who needs a solid, down to earth introspection, repentance and reformation. In case evidence turns out tomorrow showing that drugs were a part of the grey areas of Pramod Mahajan`s life, will Vajpayee call that, too, a "mistake"? This country now knows the truth about the moral high grounds taken by BJP all these years and thanks to Rahul Mahajan that the gargantuan bluff is called so convincingly.

I am wondering why rediff posts such pathetic comments while, some genuine comments never get posted. Infact over the past six months, I have been trying to post my views, but none have been posted yet. First of all, I am not pro BJP or Vajpayee, or anything. The news was about Vajpayee's comments about Rahul. Why drag all the political events into this issue? All he said was mistakes happen when you ar in bad company, and that's true. Well is the mistake a punishable one? that's for the law to decide. But isn't Mr.Krrishna's Son or daughter prone to such mistakes if he is has a wrong circle of friends????
