Prof. Gopinathan's vision is superb. His logic is undefeatable. If some one is not agree with him then he has no vision for the India's future education system as well as for the growth of our nation. I salute him for his vision and logic.
Excellent article, however it is sad that these type of articles should also be published in the 'Hindi' and local newspaper which the masses will also read and make impact on them. However, I am confident that as the Editors do read these kind justified articles, will publish such articles which will benefit the nation in the long run.
A Very good article .I will add on thing that previously there was brain drain. Now the good brain will be in the drainage, due to the populist and shortsighted policies of politician who are hellbent in illustrating their jingoism.
Government has assured people that they will increase the seats so that students other than SC/ST/OBC's wouldnt be affected!!
How can we all accept this?
Imagine a father who always gives Rs 60 to one son and only Rs. 40 to another! One day to increase the affected woes, he decides to give Rs. 74 to the prefered and Rs. 26 to another. So the son getting less finaly rebels! And father hails a judgement "I will shell out some more money, Rs. 150. I will make sure that the affected son will get Rs. 40". In the course he is wanting us to forget that instead of Rs. 60 given to the preferred one, he now gives him Rs. 110.
Well if government thinks this is "JUSTICE", please shut off each and every court of India, including the SUPREME COURT !!!
An excellent article. Hats off to you SIR. But unfortunately, our dirty politicians are dividing the country just to fill in their vote bank. They are no better than British. We were then exploited by foreigners, and now by our own country men (thats the irony)
respected sir, this is what we expect exactly from our elders...look into the eyes of practicality....you have done it from the begining and the more inspiring part is you still have patience to observe the system even though you have used this system as a ladder. This article can only be written by some one who believes in HOPE i really wonder what happened to all those big people (age and experience) who remain silent as if they are RETIRED and no point in fighting with the system.Definitely GOPINATHAN SIR is a warrior and all above a human being to understand what it takes to make a humans to survive its not the caste that drives a society its the thought that spins this wheel of time and make us proud to be humans.Thank you sir...we believe in you...what ever might be the political result we again belive Thought is the only weapon we have to survive....sincerely your effort made us feel happy.....take care sir
Well...I dont have the words to describe how happy I am to see this article. Its the educated OBCs who should take the first step to fight what is happening in our country. Our late President could have and should have done so...I am glad you did.I hope everybody in the nation gets to read the article!
Prof Gopinath has expressed things lucidly & also that he is sure that the politicians will continue to be short-sighted, despite it. It is time for ALL OBCs/ SCs/STs who entered thru quotas into institutions teaching higher education to give their personal opinions/ advice IN THE LIGHT OF Mr Gopinath's article. Q1. -Do they think it would have been better to have NOT attempted thru such quotas & learnt to stand on their own feet instead? Y/N? Q2. - Would they have been better off if education standards at school levels in their own schools been better instead of seeking ' crutches" at next higher levels ? Y/N? Q3.-Would they have better off if Science , Math & English been taught to them in School so that they could be better suited for IIT/ IIMs later in life? Y/N?
Maybe the MPs too should be given the same questionaire, with regard to students in their respective constituencies.....
