That bit of inside information sounds entirely plausible. It's good that the powerful are now in the police net as otherwise it was only the street drug peddlers who were being arrested. Also, the fact that one person (Maitra) died and the other almost did should be highlighted in the media so that it is a deterrent for anyone who thinks it is hip to do drugs. I am now waiting for a drug scandal to emerge from the Congress closet as I am sure it is hiding in there. That would truly be a political unifier!
looks like rediff has started legitimising gossip in the name of report. a correspondent with no name writes with the 'honest' declaration
"this correspondent would like you to know that the following details are based on off the record conversations with a police officer attached to the Delhi police's special cell. It does not mean that this information will hold in court when the trial begins."
its no wonder to presume that every alternate celebrity and their wards wears the same soiled socks and covers it with polished shoes.
once the shoes are out, it will never take the least of time to spread the smell of dirt in public.
the public, however, including me, are fools, since they rely on such so called respected guys who are out to sell this sacred country to cats on dogs.
i pity the younger generation of the world from whom such people are snatching their career, future and the dream to live in peace.
.. and this is not the end, only the begininng.
Who will help and support the child who is going take birth tomorrow? no one cares.
mohd.sayeed with a concern for the future generation.
Well! I am a mother, and a daughter and a middleclass Indian educated with aspirations for self and my family.I empathise with the mahajan family because i see them as someone like me.They wanted to succeed in life and that they did thanks to the dynamism of a man called pramod.somewhere during this journey they paid a price for all that they gained by perhaps being lax in gathering so called "friends" who for their own gains did not think twice to backstab.compromised on solid values and well everything then falls in place given this backdrop. It seems as if there is something hidden somewhere which so far people who do not want the general public to know have succeeded in concealing.right from the death of Mr Mahajan to this whole sordid drama it looks too dramatic and contrived.wel the mother and the wife have to pay for all this because she is who she is.

Even Bollywood movies show mind boggling conspiracies! It is quite possible that there's something even more sinister than whats made out to be for the common man. The traits of Pravin, Rahul and Vivek might have been very shrewdly used by the conspirator who could be having either of these objectives: 1) A foreign intelligence agency through a very stealth network (including close colleagues in Pramod's party) wanting to pulverize the opposition strength in the Indian politics for larger interests in the subcontinent. There are only a couple of them currently in the world and these could any of these absolutely.... 2) A large business corporation having close links with Pramod and lately since BJP couldnt clinch to power inspite of heavy sponsorships might have strained relationship over accounting of money, Pramod being an ace fund raiser...
The one thing I do not understand is that why is national media, both newspapers and tv channels, focussing on Rahul Mahajan. He is no one ! Is he even worth of so much attention ? Wake up journalists ! And give us something better to read and view ! jai Hind !
In my opinion there is no need for the Nigerians to supply any inferior or contaminated drugs. But I suspect some thing more synister. It is Election time any consiparacy could be possible!
The cynic's view is probably the truth. Will you pursue the case and cover the unfolding of this case and let your readers see it to its rightful end or will it slide into obscurity and allow the criminals to get off?
