I don't know if it is just the journalistic standards in India that have dropped, but I find it highly unprofessional of reporters to dole out peoples' e-mail IDs and mobile numbers in articles. Agreed, the man is no longer alive and might have done drugs, but that's no reason to treat him with any less respect.
Dear sir, The word police is always a collectve noun.Hence 'police is looking for...' etc. etc. are all wrong constructions.For clarification refer to Oxford dictionary and listen to BBC and CNN for one week.Simply put,what apllies to the people apllies to the police also in standard English not withstanding the confusion created by some scribes from the x generation.
