This for sure is another true and hard hitting article. The fact remains that we as a nation have always been ill prepared for any adversity. Always the one to be hit hard and still make no plan to avoid being hit again,we seem to be fast becoming a nation without pride and honour.
I sometimes feel that India is a kid nation which has had bad nuturing and as a result of which has developed a very weak immune system.From simple bruises to severe injuries to near fatal knock downs, this kid nation has gone through every thing and in the absence of right care it still remains most vulnerable to further injuries and further weakning of its immune system.
While we clearly know what Pakistan is,it is time we understood how dangerous our own country is for each one of us. But I guess most of us do not want to believe that it is not "Mera Bharat Mahan" but "Mera Bharat Bada Nadan Aur Bhaut Be-iman"
It is very difficult for Pakistan to come to terms with an India, where despite the Gujarat carnage and rare religious riots, is home to one of the largest Muslim populations in SE Asia, possibly second to Indonesia. The fact is more intriguing since they are in a minority in India. It is difficult to accept that secular ideas and ethos can flourish next door, when the very concept is anathema in Pakistan. To add weight and substance to the 'two-nation' theory conjured by the makers of Pakistan, a deep divide, atleast in the pleasure zone of the brains of successive rulers has to be nurtured periodically. Otherwise, the roots of their very existence would come in question-----and no ruler worth his salt, civilian or military in Pakistan, can allow a paradigm shift from the innately hawkish, apparently not too hawkish at times, diplomacy followed since 1947. Unrest in India works to their advantage. Recent barbs, or were they 'honest confessions'of Mr.Kasuri drove home the point that India may burn if outstanding issues mainly (or ONLY Kashmir) are not resolved. For Indian politicians, it is suicidal to clamp down hard like they are doing in the US on terror networks.
Very well said!! However we have been only doing the talk for so long. You do not see Indians rising up with cudgels against the present administration. The tolerance of India is unlimited to the point of self-destruction. It is this self-defeating mentality that resulted in 1000 years of slavery of Bharat-varsha. If we do not see a change in foreign polcy and more participation by the denizens of India a 2nd partition is inevitable, the seeds of which have already been sown.
is taking lead in cleaning it up? people, please cast you valuable vote to the leaders who are NOT secular and not after power & money (all politcians are corrupt, I know but vote for least corrupt leaders) definetiely Congress & Left party are not the choice. Indians were 87% happy when NDA was in power and you very well know who were the rest who were not happy!!
The socio-cultural fabric of India is very strongly woven. If the people are united at the base, no power can seperate them. The grassroot unity of India has always been a challenge to it's enemies; the British followed divide and rule strategy. The insurgent designs of Pakistan are also targetted towards disturbing harmony of India through terrorist attacks.
These brutalities not only take so many innocent lives, but also leave sad scars on the minds of people of India; both Hindus and Muslims. Who suffers? The poor and the innocents, both Muslims and Hindus. The sponsorer of Terrorism fails to understand that all religions are against voilence; and Islam is against killing innocents. Love thy neighbour is the core philosophy of Islam. But I feel that my Muslims have forgotten all human values in the last 1000 years of pride and power.
Duality; at one hand Pakistan spreads red carpets to Indian visitors and at the other, supports criminals who kill innocents here in India. A common Indian Muslim feel ashamed because Pakistan is a so-called Muslim nation. This must end. Pakistan should realise that human life is precious. Every human life has equal dignity; Hindu or Muslims.
It is a shame where we have an history of more than 5000 years of Hindu religion,have great epics like Ramayana and Mahabharat,India is still being dictated by the voices of the so called Muslim community(there is no descendant from arabia ...all local converts from Hindu religion ) and feel totally ashamed we are not able to carryout a protective structure in the Ayodya temple .Absolute vote bank politics and not sure where this will lead us to..
Another shame that is happening in Tamil nadu.. A Govt that does not believe in GOD and Anti Hindu is planning to start an Agama college and going to conduct sacred thread ceremony for anybody and going to appoint priest in Hindu temples..Only the Indian Hindu public will tolerate such nonsense..Purely to project themselves as custodian of all downtrodden and get some votes..Will they dare to do this in christian or muslim community and appoint mullas and priests in churches.. All politicians are crossing their limits and really there is a possibility for India being occupied by somebody else may be in the next 50 years if the same trend continues and all politicians after earning enough money will settle abroad ..

As reported yesterday, I agree with you that our politicians are responsible for the conditions prevailing as of today. As written in my earlier comments, we need MILLITARY RAJ for at least another 3 years till things come to normal as far as the national security is concerned. You have had almost similar experience that the gentleman who had reported on USA yesterday.
These people are searching for the mole these days and not concentrating on the BIG HOLES and inroads that ISI has made into our systems. I saw FANNAH movie yesterday and this is prevailing in Kashmir for years now. I met Jawans at Jammu station and they said we dont know whom to fire at abecause the person next to me could be a jehadi in Indian uniform and this is about 13 years back. Emagine how many of them would be there by now.
When will we, the people wake up. The best alternative is an army coup in India to teach these politicians a lesson and in turn take on the enemies within. Otherwise we are going from bad to worse as days go by and none of these TOPIWALAS are bothered. They are more concerned about their KURSIS and the money that they have to make in the shortest span.
After reading this i feel country has no future bcoz we cant protect our borders. Why the hell cant we attack on Bangladesh..we shuld remind them who was, who will and who is their father..But WE coward and unethical indians will never do it..
