I don't understand why US needs to be convinced. US does not get convinced unless LeT strikes US. Fortunately for US Mumbai is not in US. Why then do we need permission from the US or approval from the US ? Does the US seek permission or approval from India or for that matter, any other country on the planet to do what is right for its self ?

This statement of our priminister was never taken seriously but the US who considered themselves to be superpowers, shortly thereafter came the 9/11 attack on the US, everybody was surprise that such a powerfull nation could be attacked killing thousands in a day. The US was never conserned about waht India was facing, infact it was due to the US policy of providing such millions of unaccounted wepons to the pakis, that started terrorism in India and accross the world, "there is a famous saying what you give is what you get" the same was true with the US, they created a monster and today they have to face these monster
First we are hit at educational centre at Banglore, then at Varanasi then at Mumbai and all are soft targets . We find that these terrorists are targetting these at ease . Every time such gory incident occurs our leaders issue a cliched statement " Hamare Sabr ki Seema samapath Ho rahi hai " means our patience is running out . But i fail to understand when it will happen . We have to seroiusly rethikn our policy and instead of looking for help fom outside we should develop some counter offensive measures so that terrorits think twice before commiting this kind of henious act . Surgical attack at POK may be one of the options .
sir, the artical written by you has lot to say.The point is to believe or not does not arrise because if same occure tomorrow at us/uk or some dev. country than the tone changes. the point is to believe because india do not believe in saying without proof. all proofs can not be given with out thorogh investigation. I feel the statement given by ..... is in hurry. Such things to be taken seriosly as it is international terrorism and if not fought collectively may lead to doom for all of us in this earth. Only a nation where it happen can not solve this .It needs effort from all. It'll take another 9/11 kinda attack on US for them to realise what LeT is. Who knows if it is the US who is abetting terrorism under the garb of weapons trade. US has always been a war economy... Iraq was bombed for economic reasons... Everybody was convinced that Saddam didn't have even enough conventional ammunation, leave aside WMDs.
It was US who surrected the Mujahideens against USSR in Afganistan & now also they are doing the same by providing support to Pakistan - the terrorist school of the world. Hats off to Musharraf for his masterstroke of carrying on the so called "War on Terror" and simultaneously providing a backdoor shelter to Osama & Co.
Dear All, US intelligence is concentrating more on the Pak-Afgan border. It is high time that they should realise that POK is also a very big breeding ground for grooming terrorists. A trained terrorist or jehadi as they call themselves at POK need not be a threat only to india. When called upon to act they can spread terror in any part of the globe. Keeping this in mind steps should be taken to map each and every inch of POK intercept signals and decode them and act act accordingly. US should contribute towards the maintainence of LOC and uprooting the terror camps in POK.
