Is this the true representation of all Muslisms
by Pal on Jul 28, 2006 10:39 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If this ex Pakistan army officer says that Pak army fight for religion (implication every one not muslim is their enemy) then this is an open confession that after partition (INDIA - PAK) all Hindus (in PAK) were forcibly converted to Muslims or murdered (some of them may have moved to other countries). If you start pulling up religious issues from history then there can be no world. Hindus have been targeted Kashmir. Kashmir was a Hindu region and as Hindus religion does not teach to be a fanatic. They (Hindus) have been killed, forcibly converted and the Hindu region has been captured.

Fighting for mother land and religion are totally different. They both (patriotism and religion) have totally different passion, love, faith and belief.

What kind of religion it is that teaches that every one that do not follow it is an enemy and to fight till either the follower dies or the non follower is killed!!!! is this Islam???? then oh world wake up.

If religion is base for an deciding an enemy then for sure there is no existence of human race.

Candid interview...
by Prad on Jul 28, 2006 10:16 AM  Permalink

Good interview.
I respect the General's candidness.
True, I don't agree with him on the issues but at least he was honest.
I guess this is what they call the bluntness of a soldier.

Kashmir Issue
by RAKESH on Jul 28, 2006 10:08 AM  Permalink

Dear Sir, in your answer to Question "India has said there will not be any redrawing of maps" you have agreed that all terror acts in India are generated from Pakistan. How do you expect an Indian to accept your RULES of PEACE process??

'Our religion says to fight for jihad'
by KIPA on Jul 28, 2006 03:20 AM  Permalink

Can anybody explain what is this fool talking about. Islamic Jihad, peace, development, war with India. Come on man, what is going on.

Also the journo is a kind of foolish kid. Can't he/she take on this person on the statements he made (specially can't ask him to explain how Development, Islamic Jihad & peace co-exist).

DON'T YOU HAVE THE GUTS TO CHOP HIM DOWN FOR STATEMENTS HE MADE IN THE ARTICLE.

I think the media is doing a gross injustice to the nation by allowing such persons to let them say what they want to say without cross questioning.

They should learn a thing or 2 from other countries where media shows a totally committed nationalistic fervour.

very funny
by Shivam Pandey on Jul 28, 2006 12:05 AM  Permalink

Although people have the right to speak their mind, it does not however give them leave to speak without thinking. Case in point this Lt. General of the pakistani army... man this guy is funny. I wonder what they are smoking west of our border... must be some good stuff. What a self-righteous and hallucinating moron indeed!! FYI to the Lt. General... the Indian Army comprises of Muslims and Sikhs as well. Our army fights for the country and not for any religion. So think before you embarrass yourself again by saying something ridiculous.

Funny article......
by Aman Anand on Jul 27, 2006 11:51 PM  Permalink

....now, i dare to call this interview funny not because of the content discussed but more because of the way things are said by someone who claims to be a veteran of the Paki Army. I mean, he claims they started Kargil to force india to start a peace process and then at the end of his answer he says that Kargil was started by the Mujahideen, what does it mean, is the Paki Army the same as the Mujahideens, at the same time his answers seem to be great eye openers with revelations like 'Pakistani troops during world war I'....now this is seriously funny, its like saying Computer controlled guns were used during that war. I am amazed at the fact that a Pakistani Army officer has the audacity to say India, Pakistan and Kashmir, what does it mean, doesn't he know that Kashmir is a part of India. All his answers are hazy and confused, he contradicts his own statements and has the facts woefully wrong, i think he should stop thinking about the peace process and get his facts straight before he starts speaking to the media. No wonder with leaders like this the only thing the Paki army can think of doing is fighting for their religion rather than their motherland.
