I wish to know what is the reaction of US towards this development. Yes it's definitely a concern for us since we are having a treaty with US reagarding our Nuclear programme.
With out any doubt one can say India and Pakistan are engaged in cold war. During the cold war..US built its economy and arsenal. But Russia was too keen on their weapon programme. You know the result. If iam seeing it correctly the same situation is repeating now. All india need to do is secure its borders. That redues terrorism by 75%. Cos Indian muslims are only being used as pawns. They are not the masterminds. Though there are some ..but they have gone 2 pakistan to get trained. So secure borders first.then hit the pak economy in such a way that the country has to reduce the expenditure on weapons.
When country's economy is going down, the states are deprived of electricity, the building of nuclear plant merely to compete the arms race is not justified. Pakistani government is putting to much emphasis on nuclear plant disregarding the fact that common people are suffering the calamity of earthquakes, shortage of electricity in a city like karachi is going on,all other basic needs major problems. Just to be competitive in nuclear technology when u are bound to not use it does'nt make any sense.

Very good point by Jagesh. I would be happy if they spend the effort in making satellites instead\\
Pakistan has right leadership, that knows how to take care of its national interests and how to secure a secure place for the nation. They have a mission in life and are committed to fulfilling it. They will be successful. Indian Leadership :(??
It is very much clear that Pakistan is emerging as a much powerful and dangerous enemy not only for India or U.S. but to the whole world rather I should say a deadly danger for the Humanity and the mankind in this globe. May the almighty God help all of us.
It is a very informative and timely aricle, specially when India is going to ratify a treaty with USA almost agreeing to cap its weapons production program. The US has always been partial to Pakistan, it could send its Nuclear sub-marine fleet to the Bay of Bengal, over look actions of proliferation by Pakistan and foment Kargil like troubles with the help of weapons suplied by it.Every enlightened citizen of this country has a right to know to what extent we will be crippled by the agreement we sign with US. The media has a responsilbility to keep the public informed, and matters like this should not come to us as a rude shock, just like Pakistan itself.

dont crib like a kid over US being "PARTIAL" to pakistan.in that sense israel and russia are partial to india.in the geo political scenario everyone looks after "their " interests not "our" interests.
